Fish. Not my first choice, because its saturation level isn't as good as my preferred food - steak, but my recent Guardian Farm now gives me shed loads of fish. And I can trade raw steaks at my villager trading centre for emeralds, so makes sense to use the fish for food, as the village trades don't trade fish the same way.
Fish, I often spawn near water and I usually manage to craft a bow after the first/second night, which makes them the most easy to obtain source of food for me.

Baked Potatoes due to poor food scaling.
I wish they'd rebalance the new foods with the old ones instead of adding more and more foods that don't balance with the existing ones (Carrot vs Apple, Baked Potato vs Bread, etc...)

Notch Apples,They are so rare with a good saturation level and buffs, that's why I really love them. Some times I do not eat one of these when I have one though, I just hide it on my secret chest :D.
Pork since it seems everyone forgets it's just as good as steak. Also pumpkin pie, which people rarely eat, though it's surprisingly good, and cheap if you have a large automatic pumpkin farm, witch/sugarcane farm, and chicken farm that only collects eggs.

Carrots. They are filling, saturating, and although rare, are profitable to farm once you acquire them. Additionally, carrots are my favorite vegetable in real life.

Insulting people for their beliefs is not a good way of convincing them to adopt yours.
Fiction is just a game of make-believe recorded on paper or film. But that's what makes it so great.
I never bother with the meats, but mainly it's Baked potatoes, Carrots and melons for varying degrees of hunger loss. It seems I very rarely use things like wheat/bread and mushroom soup these days..
What food do you use the most?

Mintutor now works in 1.13!
MrKite & Mc_Etlam ... I salute you!

Varies depending on world. I do tend towards the meats and baked potatoes though.
Baked potatoes.
Just testing.
Carrots. They are always plentiful and restore all the hunger I need.
Watch out for the crabocalypse. Some say the day will never come. But it will.
Feel free to drop by for a chat whenever.
If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.
I eat zombie flesh. Real food is reserved for property and guests.
Fish, I often spawn near water and I usually manage to craft a bow after the first/second night, which makes them the most easy to obtain source of food for me.
My favorite food in Minecraft, huh? *Thinks*
I say baked potatoes with carrots and for the dessert golden apples.

I like bread, easy to make and easy to get lots of.
Carrots. They are filling, saturating, and although rare, are profitable to farm once you acquire them. Additionally, carrots are my favorite vegetable in real life.

Hipster Jesus liked you before you were cool.
Baked potatoes, steaks if I encounter wild cows when I'm exploring the world. I can't kill my own cows.
I'll eat golden carrots in 1.9
I'll usually eat steak if cows are plentiful, and if not, I'll usually go with some carrots or potatoes.
I like to have pasta and then dip it in to bacon juice. Or rice and a sausage.

Mutton, I would go for steak but I take a bunch of fall damage and would rather have something that supplies less hunger so I can heal faster.
Mushroom soup, if i can afford it, i like the idea of eating with bowls! If not, bread!
I write short tales for my Minecraft Journal, Teds Tales!
