1) Levelling up gives you points for enchanting - which is basically upgrading your weapons, tools and armour. It does not automatically make your character stronger like in many RPG's, but it does let you get geared up.
2) Yes, but you can re-aquire some of your xp points if you can run back to where you died fast enough to find your items, you should be able to pick up a small percent of your XP in with your items.
3) Sure it is. Check out the "open to LAN" tab to create a local server.
4) Depends what type of multiplayer you are talking about.
5) I don't have 10 but here is one - make getting a bed your first priority, before you even think about building anything. That will make the game a whole lot easier for a newbie. Oh and 2)- a cave house built into the side of a hill is probably a the easiest and most effective noob starter house.

1) answered above
2) adding that you can only acquire back up to max level 7 xp, anything above that is completley gone gone gone
3) is your friend on the same internet as you, or in the same house? or somewhere accross the other side of the world?
4) multiplayer is where you would go to join a friends game, or to join a server to play with others
5)
5.1 -Light everything up! If you dont have coal you can burn wood in a furnace to create charcoal which can also be used to make torches (my life would have been so much easier if I knew this first up instead of 6 months later).
5.2 - Nasty creatures with helmets do not die in sunlight.
5.3 - Nasty creatures are abundant in the rain even if its daylight.
5.4 - The best farm plot is 9 x 9 with the central single square being water.
5.5 - The best way to mine obsidian is to tip a bucket of water on the area you are mining first so if you uncover any fresh lava it will immediately turn it to obsidian (9 out 10 times BEFORE your hard won obsidian falls in and is destroyed, or your fall in).
5.6 - Default spawn locations are usually about X200 Z200 so if you get lost use F3 to get your co ordinates up and navigate to this area.
5.7 - Never dig straight down, you may dig yourself into a pool of lava or a long drop into a ravine etc and die from fall damage.
5.8 - Never did straight up, you may make sand and gravel fall on you and suffocate you, or you may let lava fall on you.
5.9 - The best level to mine at to get all the goodies you can is about level 11.
5.10 - If you craft glass blocks into glass panes it will go a lot further.

Playing Minecraft is our chance to escape the reality and mundaneness of everyday life, if only for a little while.
As mentioned, you spend xp levels at enchantment table or anvil.
Best time to go do something dangerous is after you spent those levels.
Opening world to LAN will allow someone on the same network to join (same house dorm etc). To invite someone far away you need to host a server with open port and static IP. Though I beleive there are sites where you can register and friend can join via those.
As to survival tips: replant trees, breed animmals, plant crops, light everywhere, never dig down. Holding shift you will never fall off a block which is real handy for bridge building. Monsters spawn in dark places in 128 block radius - but no closer than 24 from you.
1.) There is a purpose to leveling up. With leveling up, you can use the points to rename your items(with an anvil), enchant items, and alot more. Not just that but some servers for MC, have markets that you have to use the points for the items you want.
2.) Yes your levels drop to 0 when you die. If you can get back to the spot where you died, you might be able to retrieve some of the points(if not all), along with the items you had in your inventory.
One of the best things I ever did as a newbie was to make a stone sword and run around at night killing every monster I could find. I got killed A LOT!, but I learned two important things. 1) I learned the best way to fight each monster, and 2) when you die it's not really so bad.
As a result of learning those two things you will be able to fight any monster without panic, and you will die a lot less, because panic will always get you into trouble. When I first played I died a lot because of panic. A zombie came after me and instead of fighting, I ran away and fell into a deep, deep hole and died. Don't panic. Stand and fight. With an iron sword even a creeper is easy to kill if you run right up to him and pound on him like crazy, while staying right in his face. (That move takes a lot of practice, and so it takes a lot of dying until you get it right.)
When you are first learning the game, measure your progress by how many times you've died. When you've died a hundred times, then you're on your way to becoming an expert. If you haven't died at all, then you are running away from every chance to learn something important.
Ty everyone for the answers and great tips. I really appreciate it
So here couple of things i'm still confused about.
1. How do i make enchantment table? ( I am currently level 15)
2. I found a nice big cave. Is it ok if i made that my house?? As long a i don't dig, there won't be any lava right?
3. Ok so i was looking for tutorial and i found(iDeactiveMC) he was playing MC survival and i used his seed. So the problem or what idk... The thing is i checked out quite a few caves and so far the only thing i found is coal! that's all... I want iron and other stuff but i can't find. Any suggestion there??
2)Yeah make the cave house! They are probably the most functional and the easiest on the eye until you learn some building skills. They are super easy to do - just light that place right up, make some holes for windows and add a door, maybe add some decorations. Lava will not just appear in your cave without you digging. The only possible way lava could flood your cave is if you mine blocks from the ceiling or walls and the lava is above or directly to the side of your cave (but this should be very unlikely if your cave is close to the surface). If you do remove a block and see lava, make sure you instantly plug the hole with dirt or cobblestone.
3) Iron should be fairly easy to find, regardless of what seed you pick. It's found in the same layers as coal, just slightly rarer, and looks like pink dots assuming you have the default textures. Iron can often even be seen from the surface, you most likely just need to explore a little more.
Ty once again guys. So i made my house in a cave. Just wondering... Since i live in cave now.. it's my house, but is it possible for enemies to spawn in my house.cave??
Yep, just put a load of torches both inside and out.
And if you are wondering why I recommend a cave house btw, it's because after a year of playing Minecraft I look back on my first cave houses and still think they actually look pretty cool, but when I look back on my first survival house houses I see an ugly cube of wood. Yet the housey houses took me much more blood sweat and tears to make.
As mentioned, enchantment table requires obsidian and diamonds. Diamonds are found very deep, just above bedrock. Obsidian is easy to make by pouring water over lava, but you need a diamond pick to collect it. Look up a tutorial on branch mining.
A cave can make a fairly good house though you might want to even out the walls a bit. Mobs spawn at light level 7 or less. So you want no spot in your cave to be more than 6 blocks from a torch. For lighting wide open spaces, I like to place torches on 10*10 grid.
Is your cave mostly above sea level? Inside of a hill? Most ores, such as iron, only occur below sea level. Start digging diagonally down from your cave. Never dig a block you stand on unless you know for sure whats under it. You should hit veins of iron and other stuff fairly qickly.

My house/cave is on a hill/mountain. Anyway.. So far the biggest challenge/problem i faced in MC is "Navigation" . I cannot travel/explore too far from my house or i'll be lost. And for that very reason i made my house on a mountain... But that's doesn't help much. Because too many mountains and i still cannot explore too far from home. Any suggestions/solution.?

Build roads is my number one suggestion. Additionally if you make a compass to navigate by make sure you know how to get from where it points (which is your original spawn point by default) back to your base. If you don't then make a road from there to your base also.
A tower with torches on it on the mountain will help a little, but if your render distance is low it is less helpful.
You can also use F3 to pull up debug mode and write down the X and Z coordinates of your base, then you can always find your way back.

You can install a Minimap Mod and set a Waypoint, or you can make a normal minecraft map. Try and have a trail of torches when you head off, or press F3 and write down the X, Y and Z cords, and navigate to them later.

1. good answer has already been given.
2. If there isn't any lava now, there won't be unless you dig.
3. Caving is scarier than mining. Just dig down, straight ahead of you, break 2 blocks, then break the next one down. Keep stair stepping like that, stand as far back as you can and still hit the blocks, that way if you hit lava you can back up. Try and get down to at least 20 and start branch mining.
Unfortunately you came at a bad time as 1.9 is going to change a lot of features, like the combat, but still the best way I found is just brave a few worlds and find tactics that work for you.
Hey Guys!
I am new to MC. Just started yesterday. Had few questions.
- What is the purpose of leveling up in MC?? Is it for only show off??
- Does your level resets to 0 when you die??
- I am currently playing Survival mode. Is it possible to play with my friend? That is invite him to my survival mode map??
- How does the multi-player mode works?
- 10 things a newbie should know to survive the survival mode.

The simplest thing to do is build a tower with torches on top like rodabon said
or you could build a compass
that way it will always point to where you last slept (as long as you didn't break your bed)
also I would subject installing NIE (Not Enough Items) because it can tell you any items crafting recipe.

1) Levels are for enchanting witch basically is upgrades for your armor and/or weapons.
2) Yes you do reset to 0 when you die.
3) It is possible, but hard to explain, try searching it up on YouTube.
4) Like I said on the other question, hard to explain, YouTube.
5) 1. Make like a little cave house so U can survive your first night.
2. Make sure you get a bed if possible, so you don't have to deal with most of the creatures.
3. There is a lot of mods to get that will make mine craft easier.
4. Make a tall house.
5. Make sure you get armor and weapons as soon as possible
SORRY that's all I have
