I have 48 blocks of iron in single player and 20 blocks of iron in multiplayer(Its a pvp server soo all my iron is used up into making armour and such)
On our new 1.0.0 SMP server, I've got about half a regular chest full of iron ingot stacks. We probably would have way over a chest full if we didn't have a huge subway system (that is definitely where all our gold goes too.. we have less than a stack)
LOL! I have been playing for two weeks and I have 13 64s of iron. 42 more after that. You guys are funny.
I've been playing for a month already and have only what I posted above. But I only play a bit in evenings, and I do lots of things other than mining, like, just walking 10km in one direction to explore the world, or build a way too big castle house from stone, or build a portal system through the nether with multiple portals that doesn't link portals together by turning off some portals, and of course defeated the ender dragon.
On my world 2, which I am currently playing, I have around 50 blocks + 32 ingots of it. in my previous world 1, which I've played since Nov 2010 and haven't played in about 2 weeks, I have 10315 ingots.

I've mined a lot more iron than that, but use iron up quite quickly by consuming iron pickaxes, armor, swords and shovels.
