So, I was working on converting a Skele dungeon in my survival world into an XP grinder and, given the math of the wiki, the drop should be 22 blocks, no? So, I make the drop, and start testing it. A skele falls down, I wait for more. 2 more fall down, and somehow, 2 of them die and only 1 is left. Can somebody explain what I'm doing wrong? I can get pics if it's helpful/ wanted.
I use a skellie farm. Drop is 23 blocks. Have levers, redstone, and pistons so you can block the water source (if you're going to use one.) Use your fist also, don't waste weapon durability. Also, have a glass pane/iron bar at- Actually, I'll just stop. I'm saying how my XP farm is....>.>
My first 2 spawner traps where like that, i used a fall to weaken the stuff, and had to use swords to kill the skellies because they got some random damage too.
You have three options (assuming you dont want any skellie to die):
1) Lower the drop a bit and use swords to kill them.
2) Lower the drop a bit and use instant health splash potions to kill them (they do a couple hearts damage min).
3) Dont bother with a drop and use a timed piston crusher instead (no room for random damage) and use 1-hit-fists or potions for the kills.
Im using nr 3 currently, but 2 works well too :smile.gif:

PostAblindmind1:Tnt can also be uses to see caves underground...unless they removed that bug.
Malacodor: With enough TNT you can see caves without using bugs.
