I've seen everything from floating islands with full forests on them to a place where there is literally no animal except sheep. But when I started a survival mode game without any seed and started in a place with nothing but snow and pigs. So many pigs, in fact, I was scared for my life. And then, walking around in the night, I found surface lava in the middle of more snow... what is up with that? Has anyone else experienced this weird map...?

Eh, it's not too rare. Pigs are everywhere in my world. Surface lava an be anywhere, regardless of biome, except for the Mushroom Biome I think.

For some reason, lava just seems to show up more in snowy areas. Perhaps it is supposed to be like a hot spring.
