I spawned on an island not far off the mainland and it's pretty loaded with cows and trees. I've developed the highest point of the island to have a house and crops in a safe area. I setup a field down towards the base of the island where I keep two of each kind of animal for breeding.
Mining wise I've explored a good bit of the island itself. I've got about three ravines under the island and material wise I'm doing good. Diamonds are very rare but I got enough to make a pick and a music box.
My next big project will be to build a bridge from the island to the mainland. I already laid out the supports and setup a 1 block skeleton bridge as a foundation. I think I'm going to try for a mix of smooth stone and stone brick for the main bridge itself. Though I am slightly tempted to use gravel for the pavement if I knew Enderman wouldn't take it.
I'm doing fine actually. Been playing my world for 3 weeks now. I have a portal to the nether, found the end portal. I found a skeleton spawner, a zombie spawner and a blaze spawner in the nether fortress. I build a mine to bedrock with easy acces from my massive underground bunker. I have wheat farms, pumpkin farms, melon farms. I breed the pigs, the sheep, the cows and the chickens.
I have loads of cobble and redstone, about 10 stacks of iron, 2 gold and about 24 diamonds. A diamond pick, two enchanted diamond swords, diamond/iron armor. Ow and 9 ender eyes so far.
So yeah, doing fine. I'm gathering all this up so I can go punch the dragon in the face and call him my *****.
Pretty good, I have a wheat farm up, pumpkin farm up, sugarcane farm up, pretty good house built in a cool overhanging mountain. I am also a good portion finished with walling in my home area, putting up some really cool looking towers on the extreme mountains. I am doing it hardcore too, so it's been a challenge.
In Survival? Not too much, except getting lost and encountering an NPC village in a lake/plains. I live in those very plains. Apparently that village is miles away. I slayed tons of cows, to make armor.
Getting ready to set out and find a mineshaft (need melons). After than I;ll be heading to the nether to find a blaze spawner. Then I'll be hunting endermen.
After that. Enchant, make pots and get ready to fight a dragon. Not going in there with out fetherfall and prot III or better on diamond armor.
Nothing would **** me off more than getting drop kicked and dieing right there at the end.
When I'm done I may convert the world to survival and continue to build, or I'll archive it and start new.
Pretty darn good. I've had the map for not quite a week (real days, not Minecraft :tongue.gif:). Built my house... it's like... 9x11 or 9x13. Wood planks. Cobblestone roof with a little watch tower on top. I have a chicken farm - 1x1 square surrounded by fence :tongue.gif: As well as wheat, pumpkins, and I just found melon seeds in a mineshaft! I traveled a really long way from the spawn... it's a great place! My house is surrounded on three sides by a hill... big field around it, plenty of animals.
Eh. I have a mine behind my house, a classic 3x3 (or, 3x4 on the stairs) stairway downnnnnn I hit a lava lake cave... found gold! Redstone! Lapis! And... diamond! Now I'm at that point, y'know. I have enough obsidian for a portal. I've made an enchantment table... blahblahblah. Ready to go Nethering.
Of course, I don't know if you can really call it survival, I'm on peaceful mostly ^^;
I have a world with the popular 1.7.3 seed "gargamel". I recently switched to Minecraft 1.0 with it, and I'm loading new chunks with it.
I have: 2 wheat farms, a tree farm, 3 reed farms, 4 unused stacks of iron, 25 unused stacks of redstone (SO common in my world), 60 unused diamonds, a stack of gold, two stacks of obsidian, an enchanting room, balcony, base inside of a cave, mountaintop base, various hidey-holes around the world, 5 stacks of clay (got on 1.7.3, when it was rare) a HUGE mine, where I have found only 1 dungeon that I'm going to turn into a mob trap, and........ deep breath.... WHEW. That's all. And that's just my main world-- on other worlds, I also have a ton of stuff.
Day I:Follow the river until i found a place i wanted to live underground in.
Day II:Kill everyone in the NPC village and move in.
Day III: Find some diamonds in a mine.
Day IV:Make a 45 chicken Chicken farm
Day V:Push all the chickens into lava
Day VI:Find a stronghold
Day VII:Die twice inside the dungeon
Day VIII:Find a Dungeon
Day X:Did you noticed i forted IX
Day IX:Enter the End
Day XI:Die 47 times attemping to kill the Enderdeagon
Day IXX(19): Ragequit & Delete after 578 Boss kill attempts
My single player world is actually a LAN server I host, because I like it when friends can drop in and out when they come over. Helps with massive projects if you have multiple hands on deck.
But mostly, it's just me. And it allows me to have Bukkit and get Bukkit mods, too.
It's been two real weeks since the server started, and I've got a medium sized town called "Industrialburg" in a valley beside a mountain, with a couple working factories that produce cobble and smooth stone, which automatically harvest themselves thanks to a couple mods.
Still having trouble with the occasional monster invasion, and the city's desperately low on resources, especially iron. We're using stone tools because we have lots of cobble thanks to the factory, but every time we set up a mine shaft or start a quarry, we get invaded by either creepers or Endermen, which I've never seen work in packs until then.
Overall, it's good. Just need to get some fresh resources in before too long.
Day 1: Pushed into lava by a sheep while AFK.
Day 2: Pushed into a ravine by a sheep while AFK.
Day 3: Killed by a spider while AFK.
Day 4: Learned not to AFK.
Day 5: Set self on fire instead of opening door.
Day 6: Pushed into ravine by a sheep while AFK.
You just don't have good experiences with going AFK, do you?
