The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
Can you clarify a bit what you want?
From what I understand, you are trying to connect the two wooden pathways that end at the two wooden log posts. I also assume that you still want to be able to drive a boat underneath, that's why you are asking for help. Do you care at all if it blocks out some of that stone archway you have or no? Details like that might help people give you a quicker and better solution.

If you don't mind losing some of the water located under the dock area, try building a piston door to use as a drawbridge. You should be able to fully hide away the redstone under the dock (either entirely in the water or set back into the banks with just the wires to the pistons going into the watery area).
To preserve to design of the dock, place the sticky pistons 2 blocks into the water so that when extended the wood plank is on the same level as the rest of the dock (and when retracted, the wood blocks act as a canal floor to hide the pistons). If so desired, you could also use glass to encase your watery redstone and strategically light it up.
I would make the log one block higher, then start with a half slab before the log blocks, then a full block. From there to bridge the gap, which looks to be about 7 blocks wide, I would put a half slab flush with the last full block, then put another half slab on top of that half slab, then go out another full block, then finish the middle off with 3 flush half slabs then put another half slab on top of those 3. Not sure if I would maybe put some fence railing on the side or just leave it open.
