i've played on my 1.8 world for a few hours, got a bunch of stuff, tons of tasty bacon, but i want to make some cake to help my food bar, but i cant find any cows, y?

yea, i noticed the same thing, a ton of sheep, but no mobs that drop food. but after looking, i found a group of like 10 cows and 8 pigs and some chickens and got a ton of food from it! just keep looking, you'll find some eventually.
It's really odd. I spawned on an island that only seems to spawn sheep. No chickens or cows. But other islands in my massive ocean world seem to spawn animals normally.

i ave this wierd feeling that binomes only spawn certian mobs now. so like, forest ones are pigs and some sheep, swamps are pigs and chickens.. and some other one is cows.. idk, but i guess it works like that, i started a new world with the creative to fly around, and now i just get TONS of cows, some sheep and chickens, but no pigs until i got super far from my spawn. T.T

I'm not even entirely sure I'm against that if that's true. It encourages exploration, and currently I'm having a ton of fun sailing around looking for resources, though I do miss chickens sometimes.

yeah i agree, once i build a map, it would be alot easier to accomplish though. but i pretty mcuh quit that map, becuase i found a mine, was doing awesome till i got screwed by dem blue spiders. had a huge farm and a church going too :tongue.gif:
