Well... ive been thinking and it just hit me...

Ive been playing minecraft since 1.2.0 alpha... you know the nether update... what a great update that was... well here it is 2 days from minecraft beta's 1.8 release... and you know what ive only seen once in minecraft... ive only seen 1 slime in my whole minecraft life! and it really sucks cause i have gottin pretty good with redstone work and i need some slime for my sliding bookcase (you know so i can put it on the piston) one problem... no matter how long im down in a ravine or any other low low area... i cant seem to find a slime, can someone help me with this... oh and p.s. i am below y 16... i spend less time near the surface then than i do deep underground.

Go to bedrock make a HUGE area filled with torches or make it dark.

Slimes was removed a time and was added agian. that might be why as the guy said : Go to bedrock make a HUGE area filled with torches or make it dark.

Go into your world save and upload the level.dat to http://mcslimes.appspot.com/
It will show you which chunks on your world can spawn slimes.

Slimes are hard to find. I havent found any yet, and my world are from September 02. 2010
