I'm an operator of a server I help manage. Roughly 30 minutes ago I was on the server alone, building a secret structure for people to find while playing. While I was building I heard a noise. It sounded like someone mining stone and then the occasional "Pop" of a block breaking. Now, this is a bit odd. I was alone. I even checked the console to make sure. Also, I was using world edit, so it wasn't any way it was me making the sounds.
Does anyone know if there is a sound file that is making this noise or know of another reason why I could be hearing it?
Note: My server has no herobrine/npc/creature mods .______.
actually I have had a similar incident, it ended up being a chicken walking around and the pop was it laying eggs but this was some time ago so I do not even know if it is still possible to hear them or not.
This has happened to me in older versions! While I was building the game would sometimes trigger a bunch of sound files. At one point i heard a player taking damage and other things like a thousand footsteps and blocks being placed.
This was on SSP and I had no mods at the time. I always thought it was a bug or a joke by notch
I get the same thing happening to me on a small SMP whitelisted server. Everyone's far away and I hear the sounds of breaking blocks. Apparently, it's some sort of lag making sounds repeat or something, but I dunno.
You people, DON'T REPLY IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING USEFUL/CONSTRUCTIVE TO SAY!
OP: In multiplayer, sometimes mobs will "glitch" into blocks due to lag, causing the breaking sound to play. I often hear animals falling into grass blocks and making the breaking sound.
Does anyone know if there is a sound file that is making this noise or know of another reason why I could be hearing it?
