And you, I have never once seen a truly positive post come from you. It would make you seem quite a bit nicer if you'd have something different to say at least once.
Anyways, it most likely happened because you have a mod that alters the map generation in some way. It also happens without mods sometimes, but more often with mods.
You guys who say buy the game screw off he doesnt have to. Also he might be in offline mode, i bet that didnt pop into your little thick skulls...
your belligerence is unwarranted man. We are entitled to our opinions and our opinion is stealing is wrong, and his internet connection may have cut out during play, which is also possible. But we should be entitled to say what we like. As are you.
as for the OP, that bug is pretty cool. I would keep it though. Also if you don't own a copy of Minecraft, you should buy it, it's a great game and the developers deserve to be paid for their hard work. If you do, good job, I'm proud!
More money can buy more software, pay for more admins and motivate the mojang team. The effect may be small but it still happens and is a valid reason for people to get annoyed and people who pirate for no reason.
If you read my posts you will see I actually never said the OP pirated, and never insulted the OP. I am perfectly fine with people pirating if they 100% cannot get the game any other way.
TL;DR: You didn't prove anything I have said wrong, stop jumping to conclusions and insulting people.
First off, I want to let you know, I never insulted anyone and never meant to. I called a few posts stupid, but not the poster. There is a difference. I metioned pirating, because that was the discussion. I never made any jumps to conclusions, I formed my own.
Anyway, money might be a motivation for some people, but I have never know it to be for Notch or Mojang. As of now at least, the motivation for the team is making a good game for a community that loves it. DRM destroys games and only hurts those who play it the right way. In Minecraft, there is no DRM, but judging from what Notch has said, he doesn't really care if people get an "illegal copy" of it. So, if money is the main arguement for why people shouldn't pirate, again, it might make a company lose projected sales. And if money is the only motivation for a company, what good is that company?

That is a world generation error when the blocks fail to update. Same thing happens to sand and gravel, somtimes you will find gravel and sand ceilings that won't drop unless you destroy a block next to it.
And btw, if you play pirated minecraft most servers won't allow you to join as they probably have online mod true.
Actuly, as i am sure has been said before, its just a glitch/chunck error with the water, you can also do this manuly im pretty sure for mob traps/generaters
something completly random, probobly consisting of the word epic at least one. Examples, "Epicness in a can" "Wall o' epic" "Epic episode III, the return of Epic" etc.
It's nothing more than an issue where the game fails to update blocks when running cave generation algorithms, similar to floating sand, or that's what it seems like to me.
Also, guys, calm down and stop flaming him, I, a proud purchaser of Minecraft, get that piracy message all the time. It happens when you are playing the game on offline mode and have internet, I believe. I launch my game directly through the command prompt, and many custom launchers use the command prompt, thus resulting in that error, not to mention Minecraft's severs are often overloaded resulting in having to play offline, and some people don't want to have to wait through dial up or cell phone internet to play the game.
That, my friend, is an UNLICENCED COPY! D: Boooooh!!
jk, now on topic:
Its a bug. its also pretty easy to fix.
If you want water in all of that pond, just fill the second layer with dirt, place water on top, then remove dirt. easy as that.
Its a chunk error ((sorry, I had to throw something on topic before I dove into the current piracy discussion)).
In my country, and I am assuming that it is one that many of you also inhabit, piracy is illegal. Copywrite laws are what they are. Are they broken, yes. Do they crush creativity, yes. But they exist. It is not our place to pick and choose which laws we follow as citizens. Even if they are broken, we must follow them. Picking and choosing laws to follow is not order, it is anarchy. And the more society approaches this point, the worse its condition gets.
Piracy is wrong, because the law says so. If you want to buy that new car that just came out, but you don't have the money, you can either save for it, or steal it. Stealing, be it a car, or a piece of software, is the same thing. An extreme example, perhaps, but it gets my point across. Minecraft isn't even that expensive, so the cost excuse, as weak as it already is, seems to be one with even less substance.
Mr. Smartass.
Have good grammar. Save us tiem.
FYI

Not how that was intended.

Uh, what? How is he playing at your expense and slowing down the game development?
