It's really annoying to beg for reputation. Rep doesn't even mean much. Wish I could "-" these threads and the people with these signatures.

I don't like asking for rep. If the only point is to make you feel good when you look at your profile and/or enlarge your e-peen, then begging for people to give you points is a cheap way of getting a good "reputation."
Anyway, my favorite ore is definitely diamonds. We need more variety in ores before you make a question like this.

diamond is good but is only good for tools and armour but gold can be used for booster rails which are invaluable for big bases and mines.
