I tried searching for "farming zombie pigmen," and I couldn't find anything, much to my surprise, so here's my idea on how to farm zombie pigmen.
1. Get to the top of the Nether above where your Nether-base is going to be.
2. Dig a funnel in the Netherrack where the sides are like so:
From my own personal experience with this sort of mob-funnel, mobs will happily jump down 2 blocks (which keeps them from jumping back up). Any farther of a drop, and they won't willingly drop down, as far as I can tell. Anyways, this is the spawning space. Make the funnel as tall and wide at the top as you like (within reason).
3. On the bottom level where the four sides of the mob-funnel come together, leave a 2x2 hole in the bottom. Surrounding this hole, leave a 1-block-wide ledge all the way around. Behind this ledge, put 16 sticky pistons with 16 blocks of netherrack attached to them (2 pistons on each of the 4 sides, 2 tall), such that the pistons push the netherrack out and force anything standing on the ledge off. Rig all of the sticky pistons to automatically go back and forth, preferably with some delay.
4. Leave enough vertical distance down this 2x2 shaft between the bottom of the funnel and the kill platform to enable gravity kills (I forget exactly how far this is off the top of my head).
5. Make the kill platform into a nice room adjoining your Nether-base where you can collect tasty cooked porkchops at your leisure.
Good idea but although i don't know the exact pigmen figures i don't seem to recall alot of pigmen around in the nether. Although the mechanism of this seems to sound good i don't think there will be enough pigmen spawning to really make it worth it. It would be alot easier to go around killing them with a sword or even farming pigs in main area and cooking the meat.

So, I built the thing I was talking about, but yeah, the zombie pigmen spawn rate is...inconsistent, at least in terms of getting them to spawn where I want them to. It works though, when a rare zombie pigman does spawn in my contraption.

Good concept.
One way to get zombie pigmen to spawn faster in the grinder is to plant huge fields of mushrooms everywhere else to prevent mob spawns.
(However, to get cooked pork, it is more practical to drop pigs through lava, setting them on fire.)
works pretty decently.
This one uses Cactus to kill them, best would be something piston based though to smother them.
I also have 1-way soul sand arches around, but if you used spawning pads wouldn't need them.
In case you missed this:
The concept is comparable to lighting up caves in the overworld to increase the rate of hostiles spawning in a grinder.
