My friend told me that the game constantly generated terrain as far as you went. I'm pretty sure that there IS an end to it eventually, if it didn't, wouldn't the game memory get too large for the computer?
Yeah the save starts to get too large and you hit the far lands. But it would take 800 something hours of straight walking to get their
you end up in the far lands, were world generation screws up, everything bugs and your FPS drops wildly. You can get there by traveling 25% of the distance from the earth to the sun in one direction. It would take 820 hours to get there without hacks. There is also a far lands in the nether im pretty sure and it takes 102 hours to get to (820 divided by 8 = 102)In the Nether, the terrible lag associated with the regular Far Lands will not occur so you can try to get there if you want
What are ITS map limits? Does it have the same 8x limitations? And once you get past 1 or 2x, what happens when you build a portal back to the normal world?
If this has been investigated before, then forgive my musings, but if not...
It is 8 times smaller than the MC world. So if you travel ten blocks in the nether, then make a portal and go back, you'll have moved 80 blocks in that direction. So if you want to get to the far lands legit, the nether is the way to go. Because instead of having to walk for 800 hours, you'll only have to walk for 100 hours.
