I used to have an Indev world when I first bought the game (A few days after alpha), then I realized Alpha had minecarts and other "Awesome" Stuff so I switched to it. My first main world was pretty sweet, light green grass and all. Unfortunately I had no idea what I was doing and just built a dungeon like home in a mountain. Then my next world was post biomes and I had a snow biome and got bored. Then I switched to my laptop and didn't bother bringing any of my lame worlds with me. I've been playing SMP constantly up until last week. So my latest "Main" World featuring a Dugout house in the side of a ravine thing was generated in 1.6.6.
Pretty cool world. It's my Legit world, I use the seed 404 for my screw around world.
My first world of Alpha (the one I was most attached too) was hovering at about 70 megs before it shitted out due to a mess up in backing it up. (Ironically, it was the first time I've ever done it for any world, so I had no prior back ups)
Yea.

Best game ever: Ace of Spades FREE FPS minecraft-like game.
I dont do that much exploring, just making things. Like gigantic 1 block towers.
Lol Jk, I make castles and such.
I am pretty sure the size of a world is a directly related to how many chunks you have generated. Isn't it the same memory if you place blocks? The game still has to load "air" so I don't see why placing something their can have an impact on its memory. I could be wrong though.
21MB but i have a habit of doing only one thing per world. Trying to seperate it with a survival world, test world, and create useless **** world but meh
Was 100 for a long time then recently went up to 120mb when I went on a hunt across the seas for clay. Also I have planes mod so that's mostly why it's so huge.

I've only made a house on a small floating island I found, and I made an igloo.

It is chunks that make the world file bigger.

Don't worry, the MC world isn't that big. Its impossible.
Didn't explore much. I just had it since pre-Halloween update.
