Wait wait wait, that vein of is near the bedrock, how could there be :Lava:? There's a very small chance a block will be near it, never mind a small lake! The only danger the :Diamond:'s would be in (if there's no nearby) is that they would despawn. Fill it up with blocks, anything really, so when you mine it all you can be able to collect the (If you can mine everything.)

It's surroudned by bedrrock so you can't get to it.

yep dug all around it, I only found some lava and more bedrock.
Mine it all, then place dirt where the drops fall so the drops are ejected upwads, and eventually toward you.

fixed that for ya. and try flushing it out with lava. you wont need to worry about not bieng able to get them anymore
