The screen's pretty much done (although I plan to do some upgrades on it), but lately I've been working on the "GPU" whenever I've had any time. These are some of the things I've built for it, now I mainly just have to put them together and hook them up to the CPU.
I put a save up containing the screen here: http://site.lazcraft.info/downloads.php#screen
It isn't connected to the GPU or CPU, so you can manually set and reset pixels but thats about it for now. I'm just putting it up for people to check out if they're interested, since I'm taking so long to hook it up to the CPU. Quick tour here: http://lazcraft.info/post/3400838007
Work has still been happening on this, just slowly. I've placed the screen next to the CPU, and I'm connecting up the GPU at the moment. Here's a cartograph image of the screen and CPU:

I love the fact that it looks like a Nuclear Plant.

I've mostly finished the ROM block for the GPU. There's 192 stacks of 8 bits here.
CLAY!!!!! MINE IT!!!
There's heaps of gold, iron and redstone sitting in the walls and floors of my CPU and screen, it feels strange walking past them and ignoring them all the time. :tongue.gif:
People are going to eventually make huge lcd displays, and keyboards, in minecraft, and make a computer in which you can play minecraft, in minecraft. Then on the minecraft you are playing in minecraft, you will make another minecraft. So you will be playing minecraft, through minecraft, through minecraft..... I need to get outside more often.

There are 10 people who understand binary...
Those who do, and those who don't.
I can possibly see a Pong-like game being made. Could your computer handle that? Well, probably not, one reason simply being the bus speed. One thing I don't like about redstone wiring... :sad.gif:
The sad thing is that I've never taken a computer class (but ask me next year!), never watched an instructional video or read a book about computers, but I still understand almost all the technical jargon in this thread.

Nope, pong wouldn't work due to speed. :sad.gif: I think pong is possible in Minecraft though, if you made a machine specifically for it.
