interesting cart overflow, although i do like mine, as it has them all aligned the same, for if you wish to display the # of carts :biggrin.gif: viewtopic.php?f=1020&t=328009
Added. Great design! I like it. Only disadvantage is that it's less compact.

also, just saw the item dispensing one to make you go once you enter the cart, what about having the person chuck an item into a water flow, pushing it past a pressure plate that makes the cart go, then entering a spinning cycle to build up momentum (not really that, as mass and velocity don't change...), then picking up the item on another pressure plate?
just something i've had on my mind for a while :biggrin.gif:

That would be pretty hard, as you'd have to do a 'water bending' technique (water doesn't flow over pressure plates) But it's definitely possible. Also, what would you use to get on the cart? It would be pretty pointless if you throw in an item, wait for it to travel to the pressure plate, wait for the cart to gain momentum, then go to the cart and hop in. What's your plan?

I love the design, going to use some bits of it for my item storage (minecarts with chests).
With phflack's idea, isn't it a major problem that the items will dissapear after a certain time? As in, won't it need to be manually reset? (unless you hook up a ridiculous clock system to a dispenser full of items...)
Feel free to say I'm wrong, not sure if I really understand what you are saying phflack :tongue.gif:
there's a way to pass an item over a pressureplate by using a diagnol with water, and you would chuck the item in, while in the cart, which would start the cart
then later once the item drops out of the whole water system, it would go onto a pressureplate releasing the minecart from the loop that lets it gain momentum, and the player would pick the item back up while passing it
this way you don't need to restock a dispenser, and you save on powered tracks :biggrin.gif:
Exactly why I tried to make it this compact :wink.gif:
It can be smaller, but then it gets pretty ugly. It's all up to you!

Very nice 4-way! I might try to implement this at our minecart station. Currently everyone runs into the same station but they must get off and place their cart on the track they want to be on. This could solve all that. Thanks for sharing!

Glad I could help.
