Before I got minecraft I had no idea that mods weren't part of the normal game. When I got on the wiki to see what I was getting myself into, I was surprised to see that no aether mobs were there.
I don't know if this one counts, but whatever. When I first tried to get the game, the credit card didn't work. I would enter info on the various pages and when I was finished, it would send me back to the first page. As I wasn't familiar with how it worked, I wasn't sure if what happened. Then of course I downloaded the launcher, and being an older one, it let me play regardless of whether I had an account, though only offline. So I wasn't really sure. How stupid I was.

I learned about fire spread the hard way, and this was back in the Alpha/Beta days when it. just. wouldn't. stop. It was a cobble watchtower with a lava column encased in glass (but not he corners!), both for lighting and to act as a beacon. Floors/stairs were made of wood. It quickly became an empty shell.
You should start out with creative. It gives you the basics to Minecraft and lets you know which items are obtainable, and that, no, you don't have to punch the stone.
My first world ever was a hardcore world. I died in the first three minutes because I didn't know how fall damage worked.

Also take a look at this guide if you are requesting builders for a server/project.
Please note, if I deny a suggestion because it is already possible, then I mean it is already possible withing 10 command blocks (That do not spawn other command blocks) or up to 5 creations (Command blocks that spawn other command blocks) to make your suggestion.
If I critique your suggestion I am not hating on you. Learn the difference.
When I first started on my creative world I built a big glass house and it was only 2 tall, I placed a bed on some glowstone and raised the ceiling right over it. I didn't know how to fly and I accidentally pressed space twice, I didn't know how to go back down, I got SO mad. ( I think, it was so long ago that I don't remember )
When I started playing Minecraft, I got an arrow. I thought it could be used as a tool, like a sword or a pickaxe. And it never broke, too! So you could see me and my brother both killing sheep, punching wood, and mining with arrows in our hand. Then I died and lost my arrow, and my brother got really angry.

If you're reading this, then you're definitely not a sandwich.

I did that too. I was outside and accidentally pressed space twice because of lag (I had a bad computer then), then kept holding the space button to see how high I could go. I eventually got tired of it, but then realized I couldn't get down.

Don't be surprised if one day I take over the front page of the Forum Games, and then disappear for months at a time. It happens.
I still do. Spiders have never actually bothered me much, and other mobs can't get over.

Sorry, my dear, but I don't give a snickerdoodle.
Spoiler alert!
