With the new repeater block introduced in 1.3 beta, making songs had never been that easy.
I came out with wiring of redstone circuits with 7 (YES SEVEN) instrument, as inspired by
Actually I tried to make it in MCRedstoneSim but it was outdated with both repeater block & note block missing. I do not have a video recording software (too pour to buy fraps :sad.gif: )but I hope that the picture shown is understandable.
From left to right, count every 3 blocks wide:
1. on the left most 8 is the place where block underneath the note block will be place for different effect.
2. on the 2 set it is the final set up with 7 note blocks
3. Bottom layer of the redstone circuit
4. Layer 2 of the redstone circuit
5. Layer 3 of the redstone circuit
This is the example of 7 notes play.
ADDED: Redstone Simulator DIagram (Modded with mspaint)
Note: input from left
Note: the beat can be adjusted via the redstone repeater.
If you need any further information please do not hesitate to ask. I am planning to make a song out of this consisting of 1,200 note blocks (I input them to the Minecraft Song Planner, and got the count) so please stay tuned.
Turkish March by Mozart. This Minecraft Note block song is a compose consisting of a whooping 2,600 note blocks, and lots of redstones.

Thank you all for the positive comments. I will continue to work on other songs and hopefully to get something out soon...

Epic. This beats every single one of those Portal theme song vids on YouTube. There are a few glitches and the tempo's not very steady (the 1:32-1:36 section stands out very noticeably - incidentally, you also have a wrong note at 1:44), so you may want to check that. But, that aside, the sheer magnitude of what you did just blows me away. Kudos, hats off to you, you have my undying admiration, and I want to have your babies. :tongue.gif:
Wow, you must be the constructor of an orchestra. I understand the 1:32-1:36 part but there is really nothing much I can do as I tried again and it does not appeared anymore. (It happens on and off on random places, I though it might be the chunk loading problem)
As for the 1:44 I need to really look into this. I was basically exhausted after putting those blocks down and tuning the notes. I might make a mistake so please bear with me.

2 words: Holy sh*t.
I'm glad for being partly responsible for the existence of such epicness.
It has occurred to me that staggering two music lines can give the illusion of .5 tick songs, which opens up a lot more possibilities for pieces that can be adapted. I'm gonna have to see how far I can take this.
Edit: If you're wondering how to stagger them, my suggestion would be to replicate the .5 tick pulse generator in viewtopic.php?f=1020&t=199301&start=30
and get them desynced and attach them to an and gate with diodes after the gate. Just push the button and the diodes should trigger .5 sec apart.

well the .5 sec /tick generator is really two 1 sec /tick generators that are offset to each other to create the illusion of .5 sec /tick. It will essentially double the size and 'double' the speed of the song. though I expect a great deal of the offset music line will be empty except for where you actually need the additional notes.

Well that are some section in the song that require a .5 tick (1/16 note) but I did not came across this .5 tick method before. I think I'll pass for these notes as IMHO it is harder for me to control the accuracy of it.
Dude, you have completely and utterly destroyed anything that has come before. Bravo. I also noticed some tempo shifts, but the sheer enormity of this eclipses that overwhelmingly.

The song in Davve's Minecraft Song Planner
Okay, not really. But that was absolutely fantastic. Kudos and congratulations.
Now if only notch would give us a way (repeater on top?) to mess with box octaves, then even sweeter things could happen.
keep up the good work.
