All maps are technically limited. At the very edge is the border known as the "Far Lands" where terrain is very glitchy.
However, getting there requires hundreds if not thousands of RL hours dedicated to simply walking and before you reach there your computer would most likely crash upon attempting to handle the terrain hundreds of thousands of blocks before the Far Lands. To get there you'd need some sort of teleportation hacking or you could try it in the Nether where the map is 1/8 normal.
I don't know the exact speed you walk at, but taking an estimate of 2 blocks/second, it would take 70 days of walking non-stop, to reach the edge. Of course... that's based on a guess so...

Someone calculated it ... it will take months (possibly years, not sure) of IRL time just walking in game. People have reached it with mods though.
You walk at about 4 m/s, so it would take somewhere near 900 hours to walk there.

My Current projects:
- New Repeater Quark, used for a variety of applications! You will learn something!
- Which pickaxe is the best?
- Tree Farm Innovations!
Walking Time = 4.27 m/s (average)
Distance = 12,550,820 metres
Seconds = 2939302.10
Minutes = 48988.36
Hours = 816.47
Days = 34.01
But this is assuming you don't eat or sleep or function as a human at all. Give yourself a normal 8 hour work day and it will take 102.05 days.
