Considering the only difference between easy thru to hard is how quickly you lose health there's little point in playing normal or hard unless you want a bigger challenge.
Its a shame they don't create more difference between easy to hard. Something like only having zombies and spiders in easy and adding skeletons and slimes to normal while having everything in hard would give us more 'real' choice and then those of us that don't want our buildings and landscapes 'blown' up by random unseen creepers could still experience the thrill of combat.
I play on hardcore mode(self-induced), because I like a challenge. Otherwise, I might as well install flying, sp commands, insta-destruction, TMI, etc etc etc and just play creative mode in survival.
I don't get bored as easily when I'm struggling to survive while trying to make epic creations. And, if I get bored... I just might try and kill 5 creepers with my fists simultaneously.
Huh, that's actually pretty interesting. Normal's currently the most popular, followed by Peaceful. I guess most of you guys just like playing the game as 'vanilla' as possible?
Peaceful cos I wanna build **** and mine in peace, and cos the skelly's make me **** my pants everytime they fire.
Each time I mine I get like 250+ iron and redstone, a fair bit of gold and a dozen or so diamonds and it's not worth the risk of playing with enemies to hinder my progress just so I can call myself alpha.
