I searched with google and couldn't find anything, and the forum said to use google to search the forum XD. Anyway, I made a very long minecart track complete with one-way junctions (B, 0, o, and P) that is a circle track (not literally), and when I put a bunch of minecarts on it, the minecarts never come back unless I am actually riding the track. I can send them, wait 20 min and nothing, then actually go riding out, and they only made it to just past the farthest render distance from where I started them from. Is there anyway I can get the minecarts to complete the track while I am standing at the "station" I start them from?
I don't know what the actual range is... But only near-by chunks are loaded. Stuff in chunks that aren't loaded is in a stasis of sorts until those chunks get loaded. If you're sending your minecarts far enough away, they're going into unloaded chunks and sitting in stasis.
This is kind of what I thought would happen, but I'd never tried it. What would happen if you sent a powered cart out to the render limit though? Would it just sit there, or would it resume travel upon loading the chunk it is in?
Oh well, was hoping to make a transit system XD. When I send them off in a nice orderly fashion (3-5 seconds between lauches) they end up a bit past the render distance all bunched up, but still traveling because they are now within render distance. Also, the whole track is powered rails.
