I need a redstone double door design that's compatible with 1.3 repeaters. Not the old ones with the redstone torch on the side of a block. You see, whenever I try to make a pre-1.3 design use 1.3 repeaters, it screws the whole thing up. Since I'm a redstone noob, can anyone provide me with good designs?
RULES:
Must have:
1.3 repeaters (duh)
Hidden wiring (I like my aesthetics, dammit!)
Activatable by button and pressure plate (don't want to take any chances with :SSSS:, but want convienent way to open it from the inside.)
by inverter do you bean the repeater? GIves the same signal as is given, adjustable delay?
I'm not sure what you're needing that for, but i could get one working for you. The only problem is i can't access minecraft atm to make a quick design.
I'm pretty sure, depending on how u set it up, the button would need to go at foot level, rather than 2 off the ground. I'd like to help, but can't atm. Sorry

also, mind letting me know why the repeaters are needed? Mighthelp with where i put themin the design
I just prefer having my doors open simutanulously rather than with a 0.1 second delay. Nitpicky, I know, but I want a use for all of those repeaters I crafted after the 1.3 update.

In a double door design you must invert the signal to one of the doors so that both open and close on the same signal. The problem with this is that the extra inverter make the doors open and close not exactly at the same time, but with 1 torch delay apart. A repeater on the default setting have a 1 torch delay. If used on the non inverted door the signal would reach both doors at exactly the same time.

timing! Of course... sorry.
I can't do it for about 20 hours, but i will get it done if someone else doesn't get there before me.
My design won't be the neatest, but it should work
SWEET JESUS THEY OPEN SIMUANTULOUSLY! THANK YOU brendanan! I misread your post. My life is complete...except the button doesn't work. How do I make the button turn the current off?
my first simultaneous doors wouldn't actually goin time... Not sure why. From one side it'd be perfect, but the other side wouldn't time.
To go about building it, i'd use the normal double door thing. I'd then remove half of it. So now you got the 2 pressure plates opening the doors... Add a repeater to the side needed.
Test that the plates work.
Next, wire the button to the wire under the pressure plate.
Fitting the button in is the difficult part

I fixed the OP. What more do you people want?!?
Or are you just making a statement? If so, then...well...keep living in a lie.

What is the problem anyway? "It's not working" tells us as much as the bible explains the big bang.
