An update just came out, and suddenly you're seeing weird-looking saplings. Now, you could check the list of features included in the new update, in which case you would see that 1.5 added different saplings for different types of trees, or you could even just check the Sapling page on the Minecraft Wiki to see what could make Saplings look different, but apparently you decided instead to make a topic here and ignore the two answering posts by Juze and brienza112 telling you that different trees now drop different types of Saplings.
