Mobs refusing to spawn?

Anyone else ever seen this? I've logged in from multiple machines/locations, and no matter if I'm wandering around or standing in my mob grinder - mobs simply refuse to spawn. O.o

Light is definitely not an issue... and it was working fine yesterday. But login today and blam. No love.

Any clues?

Ok.. seems to go away when other people log into the server, but here I am alone and the mobs - they will not spawn.
Lame.

This appears to be working correctly again now in 1.5.
