I cannot stress enough the importance of regular bathroom breaks when exploring cave systems. But the scariness is part of the game for me, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Infact I wouldn't mind more scary things lawling around waiting around every corner to steal your brains and corrupt your innocent minecraftian sole!
Hate to say it but, you are a wuss if you find anything in mine craft scary. Note that i said scary, there are things that startle even me, ambient cave noises not being one of them... Ever been to the nether with your sound on and not on peaceful? you should try that!
You may think that... but Herobrine watches you sleep...
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, an opinion cant be awful. Its an opinion. Its your opinion that his opinion is awful.

Minecraft isn't scary at all. Cave ambient noises don't mean anything. All they do is make cave systems a little "creepy"(it does, but only slightly).
And lol to people who think Dead Space is scary. It's a good game, but not scary. It's just filled with cheap jump scares. If you want a real horror game, go play the Penumbra series, or Amnesia.

Honestly? I am 13, and horror games are nothing, aside from Amnesia and Penumbra. And the cave noises make the game better. Do you complain about trees because they make some shade, or mushrooms because you can't find enough of them. Now try to be more reasonable and turn off you sound, when you are in caves. Then when you go outside you can hear all the piggies eat your flesh. BTW check out the nether.
Replace it with blank sound files in the game data. Sheesh.

Gamers. Whether thou be a troll or a modder, a complimentor or a criticizer, we may all come together to consecutively, and completely accurately, post the lyrics to the song "Still Alive".
Minecrafts a very creepy game all around depending on how you think about it. Being in caves reminds you that you're all alone unless you have dogs. Because of that, you probably will get scared more than dead space because in DS, you're more focused on killing the zombie people that you KNOW will jump out t you.
Glitches and parts of chunks really freak me out too. One example of a glitch would be what happened to me yesterday. I was playing singleplayer, and was working on my big underground town. Randomly, the stone right in front of me lit on fire and went out within 5 seconds. I **** my pants and saved/exited to menu. By chunk parts I mean strange "rooms" in caves or places that look like they would have been perfect homes at one point. I don't believe in herobrine, but I still get creped out.
Edit: to make caves less scarry, play this when exploring:

There's only one way to find out. We must tie him up and throw him in the lake. If he lives, he is a whitch. If he dies, he is human. MY LOGIC BEATS YOURS.
The difference between, say, Dead Space and Minecraft is that one is supposed to be scary, and one isn't.
When I fire up Dead Space I thoroughly expect monsters jumping out of closets and things going bump in the night and whatever else. And, since I expect it, it's far less shocking.
When I fire up Minecraft I'm looking forward to building a home for myself, wandering the countryside, exploring a cave, maybe fighting some monsters. I'm not really expecting many scares - and that makes the unexpected surprises even more shocking.
I understand the purpose of those cave sounds. And I've used them to track down an unexplored cave before. But they don't really sound like cave sounds... They sound like the howling of damned souls.
And, yes, if I'm just happily working my way through a cave or digging for diamonds... And those cave sounds kick in... It is startling, to say the very least.
NOTHING is happy about the caves in Minecraft.

That said, Minecraft can be anything it wants it to be. Even a horror/sandbox/adventure/platforming game.
Im afraid that the ambient noises have been here for quite awhile. Also, Im pretty sure the original post is useless ****.
