However, I did more than that. I disabled the day/night cycle and set the time to 13800 permanently (so it is always night, thus allowing you to sleep anytime). Furthermore, I replaced the silverfish spawner with an enderman spawner (there is only one stronghold, so once you find it, getting the remaining enderpearls isn't that bad. Be sure to have a spare enderpearl with you when you arrive in the End, because you will need it to get from the spawn island to the main island (which is too far for you to jump there).
I think that it would count as a small survival / puzzle map. You may want to add a few command blocks, though. It is way cooler, the more you change it. Think in a creative way.
I know, that's why I wasn't sure if it was considered a map or not. The layout is due to the seed generation, not my own creativity. I think I can make better stuff once I do redstone mechanisms. I never touched those before, but now I think it's worth learning. (It seems like it involves Boolean algebra, so that sounds sweet)
Basically, this is a superflat world in 1.7.5 with the following preset:
2;7,11,15,13,1,48x161:4,9;1;stronghold(count=1 spread=255),mineshaft(chance=0.25)
The seed is 171421977

If you happen to spawn or respawn on the top, find a "hole" in the water and dig down from there (one of the few times it's safe to dig down).
Here is a youtube video, skip to 13:26 (the first part of the video is a survival games match, unrelated to this topic):
