I dont know if any of them can be downloaded at school, but I know you could try paint.net. Its what a lot of people use for texture packs, and I use it for all my pixel art, so you could try it.

I use Gimp for my photo editing. I don't believe you'd be able to install it at school, but you can most certainly download it. You can download literally anything if you use a proxy. :smile.gif: Gimp is even powerful enough to open the 1.8GB screenshots from shift+f2. Takes awhile to feed it all into RAM, though..

If you think the title and OP tells you everything you want to know about a thread, don't reply. If you want to actually read the thread and post an intelligent reply, you're welcome to it.

Is it really that mandatory that you need it? Id think the compuer would at least come with regualr paint or mspaint. Sorry I couldnt help you out, school comps just block everything.
And gimp is a nice pixel editing software as well, but i dont believe you can download it at school either...

Why is it so vital you need it now whilst at school?
I'm sure you should be spending your time in school learning the skills you'll need to make it in the real world, not make Minecraft skins?
Wait til you get home :tongue.gif:
It migt not be for minecraft skins. he/she could be a procrastinator who needs to finish their computerized homework immediately or they get an F. who knows?

We can't really make any real suggestions seeing as we don't know what's on your school's block-list. You could try using a proxy, but of course those are typically blocked as well.

Just use paint, zoom in to the highest value possible and use the pencil tool.
Other than that Excel works as well as it has a grid and is relatively easy to control.
Paint and excel don't handle transparent layers. While that's fine for most skins, some won't work with it. If the OP wants to use that on terrain.png, it'll ruin it. Been there, done that.

Wow.
Why does it matter if he hasn't paid for minecraft when he's talking about something not involving minecraft gameplay?
