i've looked at all of your updates and i have to say i appreciate that a lot of players actually take time and dedicate themselves into doing these masterpieces, i mean i take almost 2 hours to finish a building and it still doesn't come up the way as planned (well, duh, i am just a wispy 12 year old and only started on October 2014). But this inspired me and made me certain that i can build just as good art pieces like you!
Don't worry, you'll get better at building. All it takes is effort, patience, and motivation to get you going. When I also started playing minecraft, almost every of my houses were box types. When I saw what others can do in their worlds, I was like "Damn they're good, my builds are all sucky as compared to them". Eventually, I quitted playing on my very first world and decided to build another one, that time I was experimenting in creative world first. Surprisingly, I got hooked into placing blocks into blocks that I was able to do a deformed mansion (but atleast it wasn't the usual box types that I had before).
Beside the things I said, I think the most important thing you need to have is your interest. Never let that slip away, else, you will have a difficult time creating masterpieces. Also, try to appreciate the small and simple things first before going to the bigger subjects, it helps.
Another thing. I noticed that you created a journal of your own. Looking forward for your progress and also have fun:D

http://imgur.com/ That's the most reliable place where you can upload pictures (well, atleast in my opinion). Once you got them uploaded, copy the direct link which can be seen at the left side. Of course, you need to register first before doing that.
EXAMPLE:
Right, so now that you have the link, you need it to be posted like the one I showed you. Going directly to the point, since you want to place your pictures in a spoiler, click the red circle with an exclamation point in it. That's the spoiler. Then, click the little tree icon (insert/edit image). Paste the link that you copied in the image url spot.
EXAMPLE:
With this, you can post as many pictures as you can. Take note that in order to place a picture in a spoiler, that blinking line (whatever you call that, maybe it's a cursor) should be inside the spoiler before you click the insert image.
Oh and one more thing, the upload image you see below the editor is not what I'm talking about. That posts pictures as an attachment.
Lastly, no, you're not an idiot. I don't think you're an idiot because I don't have the right to do that. There's absolutely nothing wrong in asking questions. Relax haha.
The answer to your last question is a yes. Alternatively, you can also click the image so that it will open in a new tab. Once the image loading is finished, you can use the link as reference.
Sadly, i decided to delete my thread because exams are really important this year. You see, it determines which school i head to next year, which is a big thing to me because most of my schools in my town are flooded with bullies, so i need to get to a good school. I think i'll continue my survival journal next year, and maybe i won't be such a noob then like i am now.
It's good to know your priorities first. I'm not much of an expert in giving advice about the bullying subject (when I was your age, I was the unnoticeable guy, I had no appeal even to bullies), all I can say to you is that try to be friends with the right people. Also good luck on your exams, someday you'll end up in a better school:D
(Me trying to remember what was I suppose to do. Suddenly....)
Oh yeah I was supposed to do an update, sort of...I don't even think this needs to be in an update, but then.....
I was reviewing all of my entries and I noticed I haven’t actually wrote something about the multiple elevators that I installed in my base. So I’ve decided to pinpoint most of them for now.
This is just a short update. My bad, I don’t think this is an update since it was overdue. Anyways, Might as well try bringing in a short update.
A painful way to reach the top
This might be the most boring thing that I’m talking about. There’s nothing exciting really, just a couple of slime block elevators placed in every farm I have. Even so, I did find a few pieces of gold ore upon digging spaces for slime block elevators in the slime factory.
I know most of you would say that gold is pretty much useless nowadays but to me, I’d consider it as precious as diamonds. Why? Sometimes when I mine in my underground shafts, I don’t even come across gold ores anymore. I don’t even mine there anymore. Nowadays, I even get lost finding my way back (which is actually awesome since I was aiming to make my mines more of a labyrinth).
Let’s forget about me discussing the mines and the gold for now.
Remember my slime block elevator that leads to the underground mine? Yeah, that thing never fails to hurt me every time I ride it. It is totally unsafe to some extent that if you ride it, there is always the high probability that the mechanism fails in every last launcher pad. Imagine yourself being punched to suffocation by a slime launcher pad.
But hey, I still love these elevators. It’s fun bouncing every now and then. Call me a masochist or whatever but you can’t stop me from building these slightly unsafe slime block elevators into every corner of my base.
This is the elevator in the zombie quarantine zone. It only consists of one launcher pad. Ladders would be enough here but God, I hate climbing ladders. This was previously taken before the construction of the zombie quarantine facility, which is why the walls are still stone.
This is the entrance’s elevator. I think this is the only one that doesn't want to kill me every time I use it.
This elevator is located at the item transportation facility. It also ends up in the tunnel that reaches the spider string farm and the zombie exp facility.
Those elevators have no aesthetic appeal whatsoever. I just threw some stone slabs and voila! I have plain looking elevators. However, there is this other elevator that heavily affected aesthetics
It’s really painful you know. I accidentally tripped and fell to my death during the construction of an elevator at this part. I thought the ladder encasement wasn't even that tall just by looking at it.
You see that green pad over there? That used to be a landing pad for me to easily reach the lower part of the slime factory. Before, I used ladders as a way of traveling upwards. Because of the magic of slime blocks, I was eager to replace these ladders
BEFORE:
AFTER:
I never showed it but the access to the lower level of the slime factory used to be a flight of stairs. If you read the slime factory part in the first entry, you’ll notice the wooden structure on the left. That is the giant staircase. I had to tear it down and replace it because going up and down by means of stairs is tedious. Now, I was able to upgrade it at last.
For safety precautions and emergencies, I placed the salvaged ladders inside the small maintenance room at a corner in the mob farm section. I also placed signs just in case people would wonder why the elevator became so dysfunctional in certain times.
I also found out that too much mobs in your base causes uber lag. This also causes the elevators to lag as well, causing great injuries to me whenever I ride them. Sometime in the future, I might as well install emergency ladders just in case.
Nowadays, my spider string farm is coming along nicely. Once I finish that, I can now proceed to the staking of the iron farm's foundation. Hopefully I can give another update within next week, so long as I find time (exams are also approaches in my part).

While going through this thread, I noticed that I haven’t gave responses to some people. Instead, I’m giving them reputation score for being nice.
Alright! Update time! NOPE! Kill it with gravity!
Spiders are nocturnal arthropods (or are they?) that dwells in dark areas, usually producing a sound that resembles a disgusting idiot who sucks vinegar using a straw. They have a very large body structure, around 1.25 m in length and almost 1 m in height, which is enough for any scaredy-cat to squirm for help and run pathetically. They are also large enough for any being to ride on (If this is the real life, no one would dare ride that, that’s just nope). Their terrifying legs also produces thumping sounds every time they move, which makes them even more terrifying.
They can climb walls and jump at an absurd height and distance, the perfect intruder that everyone is scared of. However, they can’t crawl at the ceiling or make themselves move upside down. Something even more interesting is the fact that they do not spin webs, something which supposed to be a trademark for an elegant nope.
For me to finally finish the final form of the spider farm, I studied the spider’s movements, abilities, or anything related to them. I found out several interesting characteristic of the spider, which are:
They are not just nocturnal, they can also see through walls.
Spiders climb vertical structures in a peculiar way. Instead of using their legs, they use their mandibles in climbing walls and such. It is not proven yet, but in my personal observations they also climb walls by staring at it.
The only time when they try to spin a silk thread is when they die. Usually the silk thread they leave behind goes for about 1 to 3 meters.
They attack their prey by pouncing at them, not encasing them with their silk thread.
This is very weird, but looks to me like they are blinded by light.
I shall carry this notes with me as I begin to redesign my spider farm!
…
I bet you didn’t read that (okay, that was a little lame). I did some runs using the slime eater if it can kill spiders properly. The result was:
They can enter the killing space, however, they usually try escaping there.
They die in the lava blade most of the time. In the process, their silk strings are destroyed.
No matter how much the slime eater tries, these bastards are just hard to kill mechanically
In the end, I was able to prove that the mob farm is not capable in producing the right amount of strings. The only way to produce quality strings is by using the spider farm that I currently have.
Remember the spider farm? It used to be an exp grinder facility. Because of the spider’s annoying movements, I can’t seem to fix a proper grinder for them. The last one I made was even a disappointment.
Now that the zombie exp farm is fully operational, I have no need to use the spider spawner for exp grinding. This time, I’m converting it into an automatic silk harvester facility:
I removed the water channel that used to push the spiders into a canal and started digging for a pit of death. Poor spiders, they don’t have the ability to fly.
The spawner is at y=38. I’m not really sure about fall damage, all I know is that the height difference should be around 24+for a sure kill (when I designed the mob elevator at the zombie spawner, I went for a 23 block height difference for a one-punch kill, although I found out that the zombies that fell into the tube still need two punches for a quick death). I think placing the bottom of the pit at y=11 is already good, considering it as an overkill.
I was also very careful in digging the pit. I discovered that there was a hidden lava pool right in the corner of the pit. Good thing that it didn’t spill lava during the time I was digging.
I placed these hoppers into their respective positions, while my tears are flowing down my cheeks. Again, I ran out of iron completely by making another set off hoppers. But I had to do this, all in the name of progress. (cries in the corner of the pit).
On a serious note, I really did ran out of iron supply. The supply I had left before was enough for the pit hoppers and for contingency purposes. The contingency hoppers were not enough to cover the transport distance between the pit and the item transport system facility (it was about 38 blocks gap, I only had 11 hoppers left). I had to look for an alternative; I designed one using hydraulic mechanisms.
The strings that are harvested are collected in this dropper. A comparator clock detects the items inside the dropper and activates once items are inside. The comparator clock rapidly forces the dropper to spit out the strings into the water channel. The water channel then transports the string into the main receiving area which is located near the transport system facility.
After finishing the engineering works, it was time for the finishes.
I was preparing to gather all the needed materials for the finishes. At one end of the tunnel, a sneaky assassin lurks quietly. I have a theory that he is one of the ghostriders and this particular spider spawner is where they get their rides. How pathetic though, he shows up tough looking and I just clobbered him with this slime goo. Next, I battered him with this cobble slab and this cobble wall until he became bonemeal.
I shouldn’t have made this aesthetically pleasing. Who would even bother looking here?
This is the terrace where you can see the spawner. Please excuse me for having a plainly disgusting cobble ceiling. To make up for it, I made the spawner look like a simple chandelier.
I also renovated the room next to the spawner, turning it into the mobfactory research and reporting division office.
Maybe in the future, I’ll be digging out another room at the end of the terrace. I might use it for a semi-automatic sugarcane farm. What do you guys think?

very nice, I have also built a automatic spider farm that produces string except is doesn't take up that much space, and only uses 4 hoppers at the least
I used impulseSV's design here -> Very efficient and gets enough string, but I am curious, do the spiders hit the walls at all and catch themselves, if so, then just put signs on the walls. I love the decoration though
So far, I haven't seen spiders catch themselves. Occasionally, they get themselves stuck into one corner and later on fall to their deaths. Even if they luckily catch themselves, they're pretty stupid enough to climb up the walls and try another suicide attempt.
(facepalm) Why didn't I think of a drowning trap? I've been trying to search for spider farms and all I got were outdated ones which were focused on cave spiders.

yeah, I guess, I have a question, what keeps you going? I have a journal world too, but I've had it since the beginning of 2015 and I rarely go on it because I get bored too fast, do you ever get bored, how do you entertain yourself? I'm just wondering
I do get bored. When stuff like that happens in minecraft, I just do random stuff (create fireworks, beat pigs and chickens with sticks, spread the word of God using an enchanted book with smite V, forcing animals into love mode then kill them using a flaming bow, any random things). In short, I play minecraft like I'm playing GTA (except the cheating part, that's the time when things get REALLY boring).
But I also don't play all the time, I got schoolwork to do (which kill most of my daily schedule).
I also entertain myself by playing games like the assassin's creed series, watching animes and movies, and also reading articles about architecture, history, and civil engineering (god, I'm a nerd).

ok, funny thing is that I'm looking into being a civil engineer, but I have some ideas but I am hoping to get some things done, maybe i'll get an update out, do some tedious jobs but listen to techno, and so on, thanks for your response
When was the last time I went to the nether? I can’t tell. I can only remember that I needed some blaze rods and quartz so I came looking for those. After getting enough supplies, I never bothered entering hell again.
I always hated entering the nether. It’s so hot there, the moment you step on that coarse surface, you set yourself to fire. Considering also the world transition, the travel time just gives me the worst lag ever. Looking at those filthy pigs make me sick. They treat the lava springs as if it was a relaxing hotspring. More importantly, I hate the flow of lava. They flow fast like water in the overworld and it is everywhere!
So why am I here in the nether again? Two things, I need to gather enough quartz for my next project and also, I want to behead wither skeletons. My main objective is to gather the quartz as I have absolutely no luck in getting wither skulls.
Last time I entered through the portal, the eerie purple panel thing (I don’t know what that thing is called) was so unsymmetrical (again, I don’t know how to describe it). It’s as if someone sliced a part of it and ate it (Not me).
My latest trip even showed me a buggier look of my portal. The portal now has a mouth.
Anyways, I don’t really mind having the portal look like that. Unless it does something terrible to the game, I guess need some help in fixing it?
I don’t want to waste time looking at a seemingly broken portal. Then I got distracted by this ghast. In this world, the ghast plays on it as if it’s a large baseball field or a dodgeball court. If it was baseball, then it acted as a pitcher. I actually wasted 15 minutes playing ball with it.
Dang, I’m holding the bat wrong. Wait, IS IT LOOKING AT ME WITH A SMUG FACE?! C**KY *******! IM GUNNA SHOVE YO BALL UP TO YO **S.
HA! Homerun baby! This mother****er right here can swing a bat for half a second! I was messing you with my lame position.
OH CRAP! YOU CHEATING B****!
We went playing ball for about 10 minutes. I can even hear two pigmen acting like commentators for a huge crowd:
“MrWigglies has already received two strikes folks. If he misses this one last shot from the ghast, his career, say his life, may end here!”
(Pigmen crowd goes wild)
“The ghast is already winding up, look at that poker face! The pitch might be a wild one, who knows?”
“I can see him, Bob. I can see him cautiously swinging that bat. I can already feel the intensity and pressure MrWigglies is experiencing”
(Ghast pitches that ball)
“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, the ghast has pulled his trigger! OOOOOH! THE BALL IS EVEN ON FIRE!!!”
"This is it, Bob! MrWigglies only hope is a miracle!"
Pffft, as if I need a miracle. Damn ghast can fire shots at me whenever he wants. I have diamond armor on. I'm getting pissed with these pigmen lately, so I deflected that fireball into one of the crowds. They all scrambled upon impact and at the same time, the commentators called out the match as they were also screaming for their lives.
I could go on hitting every fireball the ghast throws at me but I choose not to. It would have been epic if I was able to deflect the fireball right into its disgusting excuse for a face and shoot an arrow to its nose. But I'm no Chuck Norris, I'm just a random guy doing random things. Eventually, I was able to deflect its flaming saliva right in its face.
I continued walking around to see if there are more exposed quartz veins. I find it amusing that some chicken accidentally cooks itself into roast chicken.
Long story short, I went back and forth into the nether, bringing in as much quartz as I can. I probably have 5 stacks at the moment. Since I can't find more of those exposed veins, I headed into the northern fortresses for some adventure. There were two fortresses there if I am correct, I already explored the smaller one but I haven't set foot on the larger one.
In hopes for quartz and wither heads, here I go!
I knew it! It was a big fortress, so big I forgot to take a screenshot. The worst part is that below the pillars is a huge lava ocean, therefore, I can't be reckless walking on the ledges. When I pass into fortresses, the first thing I think of are the wither skeletons.
Wooooh! The excitement is killing me! One little mistake in guarding myself while taking a picture will send swimming into lava wonderland. They were gathering on top of the roof, making me try to lure them into safer ground.
How many have I killed? 6? 10? Probably a dozen already BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I have a looting II sword but I haven't had any luck beheading these tall, dark, and creepy skeletons. And also, what's with their combat style? It has been a year since I fought these mobs in my old world but I didn't notice that their attack pattern was similar to regular zombies. Talk about giving them a sword when they don't even know how to use it.
Okay, bad run. I'm starting to think that the blade I forged myself doesn't even cut. It can't even behead a skeleton (Maybe I should aim for the head this time). Although, I noticed that it can shatter a blaze faster, so I guess that's a good thing.
Oh yes, those blazes. They were very annoying. Out of bad mood, I destroyed all spawners within that fortress.
Even though I was pissed with the bad drop rates, I still continued hunting for more wither skeletons. Walking around the place, I began to notice several dead ends, most of them are highly dangerous if one is not attentive.
This here is the lava ocean, picture taken from one of the fortresses' terrace. Whoever built this large piece of crap must be proud of seeing retards falling off the ledges.
Definitely one of the scariest dead ends I have ever seen. I thought a bridge was existent between this hall and the path across. Distance can be quite deceiving.
Well, well, well. Floating gravel. The moment the block of gravel updates, every single one of them falls into the lava ocean. Nope, I ain't setting foot there.
Whoever owns this nether fort has bad security. He/she/it left too much goodies in chests scattered around the hallways. Somewhat a good grind I'd say.

There was a time when I said to myself that some parts of the base were a little plain. With the remaining building materials I have, I gave the elevator at the slime factory some structural frame so that it wouldn’t look flat in some way.
Originally, I wasn’t planning on placing those braces. The elevator desperately needs an emergency ladder because it malfunctions every time a severe lag occurs. I always get frustrated every time the launching pads try to pound me to death.
This is why I hate bouncing type slime elevators in a way. They are pretty ineffective against the slightest lag, causing the elevator to fail at that nth launcher pad. When things get really irritating, one has to create a plan B whether he likes it or else.
The elevator was not the only part of my base that got a facelift. I also considered giving the walls of the zombie quarantine area a makeover. Instead of using the cheaper jack-o-lanterns as the main lighting material, I went for a glowstone touch. Additionally, I also made use of orange glass for outline. I have to thank my dye maker for making yellow and red dye. Without the base color, I wouldn’t be able to make orange dye.
Finally, I’m about to end my post with an opinion about resource packs. Well, playing minecraft using default textures was only good for me for nostalgia purposes, but after time passes I just had to go back to the old texture pack I was using before. Default had made me stay in the game for a while because of the survival-minecrafty feel. However, resource packs actually gave me the excitement for building massive structures, a characteristic that I hadn’t found in default.
Starting from today, I’m going to use the willpack resource pack. I’m still disappointed that it is actually glitchy if optifine is installed (I had optifine installed for the hopes of optimizing gameplay), but the blending of the textures is great that it gives me the feeling that every crap I build would look like a masterpiece.
Anyways, some new screenshots of the base using the resource pack. If you like the textures, please do me a favor and thank the author here by any means such as downloading the resource pack/ just saying thanks in my place.
Because of inefficient use of hoppers, I always rant about running out of iron ingot supplies. However, that wasn't the start of my iron ingot spending spree.
It all began when I built the slime factory. I was so confident that I had an oversupply of iron ingots and redstone dust that I chose to make the farm super-expensive. After building the farm, all that remained were a stack of iron ingots. I was supposed to build the mob farm right after I finished the slime factory but due to the lack of resources, the project got delayed. The funny part is that after I finished building the mob farm, I had almost no ingots left on me. I didn't fret on it as I knew that there were still unlit caves nearby which I need to light up to increase the spawn in my mob farm.
After caving a lot, I was able to replenish my iron ingot supply. Afterwards, I installed a item transport system from the slime factory up to the main building. Then, everything else followed where I spent huge amounts of ingots for pistons, rails, and most importantly, hoppers.
My main source of iron ingots were from the underground mines. In these days, I refuse going in there as I already experienced getting lost. I never got myself lost before, so this was actually an annoying experience. I have here the layout of the mines:
The underground mines that I made in my old world were worse than this, although I rarely get lost in the path.
Because of that, I am forced to build my own Iron golem farm. It's going to be a late project of mine actually. Most players here would tend to set up an iron golem farm after building the first starter builds. I did it after I finished building the midgame to lategame builds.
To tell you the truth, it's also my first time to construct such farm. Because of the villager overhaul, I couldn't figure out how to do breeding farms anymore. I've been testing in creative but I couldn't get satisfactory results.
I still don't have my farm right now, so I shouldn't worry about that for now. I did extensive planning for building this farm compared to my other builds. I surveyed my spawn chunks and discovered that it was right between two ridges. Because of that, I'm going to have a hard time thinking how to build this farm on unfavorable terrain. After doing initial coordinate surveying, I tried plotting a topographic map of the site to give me an idea of the top view of the site I am working on.
The numbers presented are the different elevations recorded on site. The curved lines are the land contours, the red line specifies the location of the proposed structure, and the green line represents an ideal layout of a retaining wall. The contours being close to each other explains that the slope in that area is very steep. Note that the curves cannot accurately plot out the land surface since I technically used real unit measurements instead of minecraft units.
Before I even started staking the site, I considered options on what to do with the terrain:
Terraform the area
carve the hill and build a retaining wall
backfill the ridge
I chose option 2 instead. I'm not interested in terraforming because that includes laying out a better contour for the area. Backfilling the ridge is a more laborious task than terraforming since I need to fill every void present.
I'm not going with the intended layout of the retaining wall due to the inaccuracy of the topographic map. I had to layout the curve on site so that I could start the excavation measures.
This is the exact location of the spawn chunks, after that would be the series of excavation that would define the location of the retaining wall.
After clearing out the area, I started laying out the pedestals where the structure will be standing
Next thing for me do was to construct the retaining wall in place. I chose not to do over detailed designs for this since retaining walls are built as plain looking structures.
This is only a part of the update. I don't know how many post will it take to finish this since the project includes a lot sub-projects to be done.

Not good, I couldn’t get accurate estimates of materials lately. I’m still stupefied that my initial estimates for the structural frame of the iron mill was at most 2 stacks lesser than the actual required number of materials for the structure. Also, the material that I’m using for frames isn’t the usual cobblestone blocks but the harder-to-get quartz blocks. I went like 5-6 times in the nether mining quartz ore and getting chased by mad pigmen.
…And I still haven’t got any heads from the wither skeletons. For crying out loud, I want to build a man-made rainbow!
Well, that’s that. I still need to finish this iron mill before I proceed doing the other things I listed in the first post. Those projects need hoppers and pistons and I can’t just rely on mining alone (Though there’s still caves nearby).
I can’t believe this project is such a pain in the butt. First of all, I haven’t got any good estimates of the materials that I’m using and also forgot to check inventories of the current stock of the materials. Now I realized that I should have overstocked materials.
Another thing is that I’ve actually experienced an iron golem spawn inside the villager basket when I was tinkering in creative mode. That definitely felt weird and I couldn’t explain it at all. I had to change something about the villager basket then sometime later, the farm was not spawning golems. After breaking/replacing some doors and altering the vertical space of the villager basket from 3 blocks down to 2, I finally got it fixed.
FYI, I’m not really confident in building a TangoTek Iron Titan so I settled with a slightly larger NimsTV iron golem farm (yeah, the simple ones). Just by looking at it, the Iron Titan is too much of a challenge if I tried to make it as a standing structure and not just a floating machine. The simple iron golems, on the other hand, are simple enough to be made into any forms of free standing structures.
Now for the pics. This is the site documentation after the excavations and retaining wall construction activities. I’ll let the pictures do the talking this time. Here are some other things that are not shown by the screenshots:
I didn’t expect that my slime block supply for scaffoldings was inadequate for the construction activity. I had to run 3 productive operations in the slime factory to supply myself.
I only work at daytime. I also constructed a temporary shelter near the site to accommodate me during the night. So far, I haven’t seen a creeper in minecraft days.
Unlike my previous construction activities, I wasn’t strict in safety lightings or any other mob proofing precautions of mine.
The awesome view that one can see at the very top.

I just discovered something funny about my item transport system. I don't how it does it but apparently, the hoppers are dup-glitching minecarts and chest. I'm not sure whether or not I like it but I think I need to do some fixes soon.

lol are you on minecraft 1.8.3? That may be a bug that should be fixed, I love the texture pack, I was going to use it in my journal but I decided to keep it at default
I'm still on 1.8. I was actually surprised that they can dup-glitch so bad in hoppers. Last time, they were dup-glitching in the rails.
By the time I declogged the hopper chain, I retrieved about 30 minecarts and 20 chests. I even removed my hopper clock to see if that caused the glitch.
Maybe I should check my horses if they also dup-glitched.
Nice work. I noticed you were having issues with grinding spiders. I've found a piston crusher works best for them - I end up with plenty of string that way.
Don't worry, you'll get better at building. All it takes is effort, patience, and motivation to get you going. When I also started playing minecraft, almost every of my houses were box types.

Relax haha.

Nowadays, my spider string farm is coming along nicely. Once I finish that, I can now proceed to the staking of the iron farm's foundation. Hopefully I can give another update within next week, so long as I find time (exams are also approaches in my part).

Oops, I misunderstood that lol.
I also have a need for stacks of gold apples. Right now, I want gold for powered rails.
Hello too
Updates will be out within a few minutes. So stay tuned:lol:

- They are not just nocturnal, they can also see through walls.
- Spiders climb vertical structures in a peculiar way. Instead of using their legs, they use their mandibles in climbing walls and such. It is not proven yet, but in my personal observations they also climb walls by staring at it.
- The only time when they try to spin a silk thread is when they die. Usually the silk thread they leave behind goes for about 1 to 3 meters.
- They attack their prey by pouncing at them, not encasing them with their silk thread.
- This is very weird, but looks to me like they are blinded by light.
I shall carry this notes with me as I begin to redesign my spider farm!…
I bet you didn’t read that (okay, that was a little lame). I did some runs using the slime eater if it can kill spiders properly. The result was:
I also renovated the room next to the spawner, turning it into the mobfactory research and reporting division office.

just kidding man. But it is very nice
I used impulseSV's design here -> Very efficient and gets enough string, but I am curious, do the spiders hit the walls at all and catch themselves, if so, then just put signs on the walls. I love the decoration though

I’m heading to the sauna!

- Terraform the area
- carve the hill and build a retaining wall
- backfill the ridge
I chose option 2 instead. I'm not interested in terraforming because that includes laying out a better contour for the area. Backfilling the ridge is a more laborious task than terraforming since I need to fill every void present.I'm not going with the intended layout of the retaining wall due to the inaccuracy of the topographic map. I had to layout the curve on site so that I could start the excavation measures.
This is the exact location of the spawn chunks, after that would be the series of excavation that would define the location of the retaining wall.

I just discovered something funny about my item transport system. I don't how it does it but apparently, the hoppers are dup-glitching minecarts and chest. I'm not sure whether or not I like it but I think I need to do some fixes soon.
Want to read some awesome journals? Try this: Survival Journals/Worlds list
By the time I declogged the hopper chain, I retrieved about 30 minecarts and 20 chests. I even removed my hopper clock to see if that caused the glitch.
Maybe I should check my horses if they also dup-glitched.
