Interesting things I discovered by reading this:
1.) my playstyle is still pretty similar to the way it was when I started, even though I am far wiser and better at the game
2.) I've never actually built a really large structure, or automated a farm, or many of the other huge projects that a lot of veteran players do on a regular basis
3.) I spend too much time living underground. I need to start putting houses on top of the dirt for once.
My very first time in Minecraft, I dug dirt tunnels and built dirt boxes around my exits. I had troubles with lighting and trying to figure out how mobs were getting into my house but in the end I finally wound up with a large subterranean system with bits poking out here and there, just like I always do.

It's very interesting to figure out how to make everything automatic, but once it is, it\s really not that interesting anymore. There are a lot of good suggestions in this guide. You don't even have to follow everything, just a couple of things to make the game more interesting.
I have one world where everything is automatic, there is no challenge left. I made a new world, which will be more realistic, in the sense that you actually have to work for a living It is going to be build up slowly, like a real colonization of an unknown land with a real timeline. I'm sure i can implement a lot of this guide in my new way of playing survival.
I've played this way many times in the past - sort of a minimal survival experience. I have to say, they were always the most fun I've had in a survival game. I've never been a bit fan of making huge castles and massive automated farms - it seems to take the challenge out it.
Agreed. But, eventually the modpack will become stale just like vanilla. You can even follow this guide with modpacks. That will make it twice the fun!
...I might have to try that...
If a modpack becomes stale...MORE MODS!!!!!!!XD
And after that, even more mods!
And more!!
And then different mods!
And then back to vanilla, which will then feel interesting again because you would be used to having mods

Download Modpacks and enjoy the new features! Feel like you are new to the game, the feeling that you don't know how to craft something, the feeling that you learn new things.
Do you agree?
Doo doo doo doo!You got a mod!It makes the game more interesting!

This guide is good, but it can't help me with my problem. I don't feel as bored in a singleplayer mode as lonely and scared. And it makes playing almost unbearable.I want to find tips how to play in single with pleasure.

Solution:mods. All da mods. The Familiars API(with Fampacks) can make it less lonely, or Doggy Talents can make wolves more useful and less likely to die, so you can actually take them mining and exploring.Or Pixelmon, because there are Pokemon EVERYWHERE.And the Pokemon have a lot of health so, you know, that's a plus.Or in Zelda Sword Skills, you can have a fairy follow you around. There are a LOT of mods.

I can see where you are coming from. The point of single player is that you are alone in a world. I think that is straight forward. But players get really lonely playing alone. Just as Kitty9292 said, you can surround yourself with villages, dogs, cats, modded animals, or whatever else, but you're still pretty much alone in the world. You can't really talk to anyone. This guide does make the gameplay more fun, but it doesn't fix the being lonely part.
The only real solution to this is playing with an actual other human. Now obviously this won't be singleplayer anymore, but it can still be survival. Check my signature below. There is a thread full of players looking for someone to play with. See if you can find someone there, or just make a post for yourself.
But as far as being scared goes, that usually passes with experience. I remember when I first started minecraft, and I was afraid of going pretty much anywhere. I think I even ended up quitting for a few days because caving was important and monsters scared the crap out of me. But I eventually came back and just kinda faced the fear. I realized that even if I was surrounded by the mobs, the worst that could happen was that I die and respawn back. Eventually the fear was over and it was just annoying to die. So basically just play, with someone if you want especially, and soon you won't be scared anymore.

What we did in BitQuest to make Vanilla harder is mob levels. Basically there's level 1 mobs which are easier and have less hit points/strength and levels go all the way up to 128 which is very hard (no one managed to kill one)
If some of you guys want me share the code of how it's being done, message me. i haven't made it a plugin yet but if enough people want to try it on their servers I will.
amazing dude 1 thing though im not so good so I basically get started get supplies that takes me then 2 hours then I die then all that again another 2 hours so there I have wasted 4 hours amazing concept not good in reality
You mean the guide in not good in reality, but only in concept? Or you wasting 2 hrs getting supplies and then dying is not good in reality?

One trick to gradually building up and not losing your stuff on death is to make your first house visible from the spawn, spawnproof the house with light, and make frequent trips home early on to deposit some things. Try to always have food, wood, coal, and iron in storage at home in case something happens. Even at the end of your first day, you might have uncovered a tiny stash of food while you wait for your wheat to grow: well bring half with you and leave the other half at base!

I only started Minecraft like two weeks ago and the one thing I've been doing is to never settle in one place for long time and always move around a couple of thousands blocks and never look back.

That's good advice...but it's not what the thread is about The thread is about how to make survival more fun. What you said is correct, but it is on the topic of how to not lose everything and have to start over.
guide isn't good in reality for newbs like meh The guide is actually very good. But it's not meant for new players. They can already have fun exploring the game because they don't know everything about it, and haven't done everything yet. The guide is aimed for newer players, but for players that have played for too long and don't know how to make survival fun again.

Do you find that a problem for yourself? I know that a lot of players like me tend to just live in 1 area, and we're fine with that. But does moving around cause you problems? What about your belongings? Do you take them with you?

Yeah well I just wanted to address some of the concerns of the newer folk who post here. Perhaps the title is a bit misleading for some of them--they may be coming here after they begin to lose interest in the game because it is too difficult.
