Please, PLEASE PLEASE backup your Minecraft.jar whenever you make ANY changes to it. Then NONE of you will have this issue with updates. If it turns out you can't live without the mod for a few days/weeks after an update, revert back to the old .jar file, and played modded.
If you're not capable of doing this, or you're too lazy, then GTFO and stop complaining about your mods not working; you're not making any effort yourself.
And last but not least, stop blaming Notch for it all. He doesn't officially support mods, nor does he HAVE to. Your complaints simply take space on the forums, and the SAME complaints come rolling in every update; have none of you learned that this will happen every time?
