This has been bothering me for a long time, and I've been wondering if other people do it too. Does anyone else make a folder with previous minecraft versions to be able to play older mods? I almost guarantee I'm not the only one, but just asking.
yea, you're the only one doing this.
maybe you should make a thread explaining to people how to do it
i'm sure it's much too complicated for me to comprehend and reproduce.

T_T Yep, I'm alone... Anyways, you just go to run, type %appdata%, .minecraft, bin, and copy the files to a folder like "MineCraft Beta 1.4_01". Then to go back to other versions, you just take all the files from that version's folder (besides version) and put them into the bin folder, but the version file has to be up to date.
Dude, no way are you the only one. I still have the indev jar. I backup each of the jars, just for the hell of it.
I have a 4 gig jump-drive dedicated to minecraft Jars.
Hell, I still have the old Creative modes. The ones where sand still screwed up the water and whatnot. If I'm not mistaken I have all the way back to 0.11

If you earn one, you can not give it away.
