I feel ya' bro/sis/other.
I spent all my free time since the update looking for them. In fact, I'm begining to think the don't like me, because geting a mo' creatures pegasus was easyer.
In the forest put 4 torchs around a small 10 block area, they should spawn there if you walk away for a minecraft day! Hope i helped, Enjoy your new wolf!

Didn’t you ever wonder where inventory editors got all their blocks?
I saw sheep wool lying on the ground near one of my torches at night. I followed the trail of passive mob drops, and came face to face with my first wolf. after that, I have found a wolf every other morning, among dying skeletons. they must be looking for bones :tongue.gif:
Stop looking for them. That' the only way to find them.
Sadly true. I didn't bother actually taking this advice before, so I looked around for a hour or so. Then I saw the painterly update and updated my netherstone, and went to see how it looked. While I was walking the fifty meter distance to the portal, what do you think I saw? Yeah.

Cry a river. Punch a tree. Craft and build a wooden bridge over the river. Use your bridge to GET OVER IT.
I mean I've tired everything, stayed in tagia biomes, and deep forest.
Nothing.

Lucky, I have a HUGE forest that streches on forever.
But no wolves.
Difficulty doesn't make a difference in finding wolves.
