I don't like your choice in grouping for the "pool". Poison sounds good but extra speed sounds bad. Small(<---Key word) hitpoints regeneration sounds good but nukes sound bad.

I think we need to keep zombies as they are.
They do their job as the basic mob without special abilities well.
Think about it this way, what would Left 4 Dead be without the normal non-special zombie hordes?
Maybe they could add special forms of zombies that are much rarer to find like a running zombie, one that can break blocks (but only if it's in active pursuit of you), a radioactive (poison basically) zombie, etc.
How to make zombies harder? Well first offthey would have to be a male zombie. Secondly show it some 18+ material.... Oh wait what's that? Ohhhhh harder to KILL! You should have made that more clear in the title. Give the zombie a nuke then it would be an extra deadly form of creeper.

I'm fine with them as they are.
But if I had to choose something to change, I'd play up something they already have as an advantage: they are most dangerous in numbers. Have them spawn like they do now, but if two of them accidentally bump into one another, they'd "horde" and wander together from then on. If this continued long enough, you'd get a mob (the other definition of mob) that would be much scarier if it came after you.
It's more challenging without being to large a change from how it is now, and it's consistent with how zombies in movies behave.

It dosnt NECESARILY have to be the ones in the pool. Its just there for reference.

I don't think they need to be made any harder. I wouldn't mind seeing them spawn in larger numbers though. Zombie hordes would be fun.
They should drop something other than feathers though. I'm not sure why zombies would collect feathers. Unless Notch plans on having them fly. Flying zombies with bird wings would be insane.

and if they had variable strength, like some come in armor(more armor the stronger) and some have weapons(the stronger the better)

My option wasn't there :tongue.gif:. I think just a simple damage upgrade and speed buff would suit them perfectly, as they aren't much of a challenge now, dontcha think?
In fact, now that I think of it, zombies should be even stupider than they already are. That's their charm. They should be easily distracted, chase chickens around, walk into glass and hurt themselves, etc. They should be dangerous in large numbers, the way zombies have traditionally been. Night of the Blood Moon, a three day long night that can not be slept through where zombies arise in armies.
LUCKILY MOBS CAN SWIM.
Anyway, zombies are fun. We need at least one mook that's easy yet satisfying to kill. (Not daytime spiders or any passive mob, because that's boring)

This seems fine.
If anything, I'd love to see a once-in-a-blue-moon event where zombies swarm in droves.
Maybe a night that lasts three days or so that you can't sleep through, zombies explode into our world in hordes.

Just make them faster than the player, so the player has no choice but to turn around and kill them or run indoors.
If they know you're in your house, they should be able to kick your wooden door open and get in.
