Please leave a response below if you have any questions. If you would like to be a builder please send me a personal message on YouTube HERE.
Include links to photos, videos, or webpages showcasing your previous builds. Include the name you want to go by and any external link you want me to link to (such as your YouTube channel or blog). Give a brief description of what you would like to make and when you are available.
I will contact you for more information if you are chosen. If I do not contact you within a few days, you can assume that you were not selected, and should try again another time, most of the time though I will respond with a reason for why you were not chosen. This is not to be mean, but to know what you should improve on.
I'll do all the recording & editing work for you, all you have to do is build to your heart's content! Depending on how complex your structure is I will allow a longer build time. I also lied about not being able to build things from video games, just be creative, there is already enough Mario pixel art out there...
Hehehe, I do agree that more minecraft timelapses are needed, and the few that I have made are only mediocre. That's mainly owning to the inability to speed up or slow down the video midway, and being forced to use hypercam.
As much as I like the idea of not having to deal with editing and making the video, I'm used to the texture pack I use (Voxel Box Texture) which has many of the unused blocks replaced with more usable textures. I'd also never build away from my home server unless it's down (which is also the Voxel Box).
Good luck anyways. I'll keep watching to see what others make though!
Oh man.. I wish I had gotten this idea of recording a time lapse two days ago.. I'd love to have a time lapse of me building this!
Took me ~6 hours.. Darn it.
I'll be sure to record my next huge model build, I have a second laptop to log onto the server and record.. I have much experience in video editing so this should be simple for me to do. :wink.gif: But still.. damn it, wish I had seen this/gotten the idea two days ago. :sad.gif:

Looks like a skinny Charizard :wink.gif:
Looks good to me, would look better if you were able to utilize all the new dye colors, which you can do when building on the test world I'm using. So if your interested in making something similar to that let me know. What was your process of making it? Did you use a real world object or a picture as a source?
A dragon would definitely be a good start to my time-lapse series...

Hah, your right on it looking like a skinny Charizard! Hah.
But yeah, the reason I only used cobblestone was because I had a crapload of it available and it was the simplest way to make it..
But to answer your question about the source, I used a 3D model and voxed it to get a "Minecraft model", then I sliced that model up and made one layer at a time. Then I put my own finishing touch on it on some placed, made the claws a little different and the winds a little longer at some places and stuff like that.
But I don't have that much time to do it again soon, but I put the links to the model used if you want to make it yourself :wink.gif: Just make sure to let me know if you do! I'd love to see the time-lapse of it!

You wouldn't happen to have Voxel Sniper or Voxel more on the server? (Plugins. Extremely useful).
By using the term 'Example', you make it sound like you haven't had much interest on the project. That makes me feel sympathetic.
I don't run the server myself, but I don't believe we are using Voxel, but are using Bukkit.
I just used the word example because that's all it was. I want people to dream big and try to use the 1 hour build time to their best abilities, so I made my own. The thing is I never actually wanted to do one myself. I have another person who sounds serious about building that I will try out tomorrow.

Plus your name is Chameleon which is pretty close to Charmeleon... CONSPIRACY THEORY!
If you can get Voxel Sniper onto the server, then perhaps I will let you do a timelapse of me creating a boat. I wish to make a timelapse soon to create a guide on how to make boats. An example boat I made is here.
That one took more than an hour, but I'm sure a smaller boat with no interior could be done within the time limit.
This is mostly reliant on what the texture pack and weather Voxel Sniper is available. It's a bit like a degrief stick, but it lets you place blocks as well. If it were myself, I would use it for infinite blocks and quick building more than anything, although it does have ball and disk functions (which don't come out so great in a timelapse).
I sent a pm through YouTube applying for a spot. I've always wanted to see a time-lapse of a structure I've built, but have never been able to before. Hopefully I put all the info I needed to in there...
I'm not sure how different the building will look with your texture pack compared to the version of Painterly Pack I normally use, but hopefully it will turn out okay (if I'm picked, of course). I have several different old blueprints to choose from to build... it's hard to pick which one to do. XD
And Feather, TJ (Overwhelmed) uses SMP's HD Texture Pack. And it would be up to Andrexx (the server runner) to add the Voxel Box's plug-ins.

I'm subscribed to his channel, & I watch his Let's Plays (and have been on his SMP once so far). From this, I know what texture pack he uses. :wink.gif:

i got 140fps normally, but when i used fraps, it got down to 11 fps.. -.-
Well, the good thing is you don't have to record it yourself, I do all the recording for you.

Actually, I'd be willing to use whatever texture pack you want me to use, just give me the link to it. Keeps things fresh and you can know that things will look like what you see.

I actually thought he was either running John Smith's or Misa's.

Silly me.
I'm using Misa's because SMP's wasn't updated at the time
