No thanks, theres too many extra steps to do simple things. Plus, not a lot of things are compatible. Let's just leave the OS wars in another thread though.

Yes, try it at your friend's house just before he wants to play. :tongue.gif:
BTW, this command makes a .tga file that's about 1.8 GB in size. Depending on your computer, it can take between 30 seconds to 10 minutes to render. The image size is about 17k pixels wide. Great if you're wanting to have a poster printed.

If you think the title and OP tells you everything you want to know about a thread, don't reply. If you want to actually read the thread and post an intelligent reply, you're welcome to it.

I tried it and the first time Minecraft crashed (dissapointment), but the next time it took about 20 seconds, but I don't have anything that can open it... Do you know any programs that can?

GIMP can open and edit .tga files.. Im not sure how well it would handle a 1.8 GB picture though.

No, if you're using a Linux, you're likely loading everything much faster than normal, along with having better FPS in Minecraft.
Minecraft runs far better on my Ubuntu install in comparison to my Windows XP and Windows 7 x64.
