I guess I'm the only one who hates the idea of mob villages. I don't want other NPCs with human like AI, I want single player to be an incredibly lonely world.
I actually agree with you here, I enjoy the somewhat "stranded" feeling of the current minecraft. Hopefully it's optional or moddable.

This forum ticked me off so much I went to random.org and set my password to something I'll never be able to remember, then switched my password reset to a throwaway.
- Minecraft will probably not be on Steam until it's out of Beta.
I hope it has a Steam and non-Steam version. I won't be playing Minecraft it you MUST have Steam installed. I just uninstalled Steam because I'm tired of having to go through Steam just to play a game on that service.
To everybody who said thank you: You're welcome. It didn't take too long; more a matter of just writing everything down. I just wanted to have a comprehensive list of what was said, and figured that if nobody else would make one, I would.
Yes, genetics totally works that way...
Yeah, he excused it with 'Rule of Cool.'
only one thing I would have an issue with...custom paintings in SMP
The problems would be worth it in my opinion, because I really like my paintings and it makes me sad to know that others cannot see them. But yeah, yet another option for griefers.

If I'm sick of feeling lonely, I just play on multiplayer.
You are not alone in wanting to feel alone. One of the biggest draws of SSP for me is having a world to myself. Mob villages /= a world to myself. Hopefully, somebody will create a mod for people like us.

Nerd rage! Coe doesn't have the longest LP. Mygamersinsanity does with 160ish episodes.
Wow, I had never even heard of him. I thought I had checked pretty much every significant LP. Is he any good?
- Magic. Magic was mentioned and seems to be planned quite seriously. A mention was made of the materials for it perhaps being in the Nether.
- That said, the magic will stay subtle, like enchanted items. Another suggestion that he seemed to like was ice-making.
- Steve is carrying a bag of holding. Problem, reality?
Back in June, Notch promised alchemy. I wonder if this replaces alchemy, or is in addition to alchemy.
Steam is fine. To all the people having problems you need to get a better computer, internet connection or quite buying games that Ubisoft decides to stop supporting after a year. I got the orange box a month after it came out and have never had problems with steam. Thats with me on a wireless connection connected 24/7, three other computers connected 24/7 and 4 dvrs.
Yeah, I've never had any problems with steam on several computers (one of which was really low end). Anybody who is that against steam probably hasn't used it since like 2005.
Also, I can't imagine minecraft being made steam exclusive. I can all but guarantee you'll still have the option of using the stand-alone client, or even playing in browser (if you're into that kind of thing). I'm sure there are a lot of people who would like to have minecraft available on steam at some point, so they can have all their games in one neat little package.
Bleh... not magic... magic is so over-rated and over-used in games... can't Notch be more creative than that? Like Alchemy, not 100% magic, but science with a bit of magic in it. That would be way better.
Steam, unlike Minecraft currently, does not force you to update your games. Also, I'm a fan of official voice chat support (because Steam has that). Also, Steam in and of itself lets you play your games without using Steam, by adding "-nosteam" to the launch options. I only hope that if we have the game now, we don't have to buy it again for the Steam version.
I totally support and love all of the ideas that were presented here, except for Steam.
And before all the Steam fanboys start whining about how great and wonderful Steam is, let me point out how much I absolutely can't stand being forced to install Steam, after spending my money in a brick and mortar store for a retail boxed copy of a game, only to not be allowed to play it because I'm traveling and can only play offline after downloading the latest patch. I started hating Steam especially back when I was on dial-up, with no other internet options because I don't live in a damn city. You buy a game in a ****ing store because you don't want to download ****, then have to download a patch that's the size of the whole ****ing game anyways. Retarded!
I also can't stand being forced to connect to the internet to play a single player game, as a BS method of DRM that treats everyone who bought the game like potential software pirates, while the actual pirates with cracked games can just play their game with no strings attached.
Worst of all is being forced to download patches through Steam's servers, after your Steam client just forgets that you were in offline mode, and of course during some big sale so that the shitty Steam servers are at capacity and slow as sin.
Steam would be great if it were an optional service, but as it is, with it being forcefully shoved down your throat, and being a required extra piece of total crap on your system to merely play the game that you bought, it currently remains total garbage.
As long as it were something like being able to download/play Minecraft through Steam, but not being required or forced on me in any way, then I'd be fine with it. But if one day my Minecraft client updated and started downloading Steam, that would be the end my support for, or playing of this game.

Steam? The only steam I see is emanating from that pile of crap slapped onto so many good games nowadays.
If your penis looks anything like a creeper I suggest you go see a doctor about it, something's definitely wrong!

I also noticed on the game load screen the little phrase words said; "almost never is an interesting concept" LOL

Bosses, anyone?
You made my day sir. Please accept this :Diamond:.
Also, i'm really glad Notch talked about a booster track, the glitch was too laggy on my server.
