We all had that "first night" on Minecraft. Admit it, you were scared. I was huddled up in a pitch black hole (as I didn't know about coal or torches) scared for my life. I remember hearing all over the place and being so freaked out. I almost didn't want to play the game anymore, I was just going to quit. What were your first night experiences?
Well, I watched my brother play for awhile before i bought the game... So i kind of knew what I was doing ahead of time. Though I did try to kill a skeleton with my fists once.

On my first night, I built a sand tower, and this spider Kept trying to reach me, so I got down to fight him and died. I then saw a bunch of green sticks (Creepers) and found a shallow hole sorrounded by water and went in and started to dig... I didn't come out for 2 days.
I remember my first night well.
"Wow, what a neat world to explore."
"Huh, the sky's going dark."
"Hm, I wonder if I should get to shelter."
*pain*
*dig dig dig dig*
*proceed to huddle in fear for ten minutes waiting for the skeletons and zombies to stop moaning/shooting at me.*
Ah, good times. Now I spend my nights sitting atop my castle fortress laughing maniacally at the foolish mobs attempting to breach my walls.

I was playing Minecraft well before it even had the first survival pre-test. So my first night really didn't happen. (Day and night cycles were non-existent)
But my first real night consisted of my fists connecting with many, many Skeleton Faces.

This exactly, except I knew of everything, I was too slow to get torches.
And now I sit on top of my at least 3K blocks of cobblestone, wood, and brick, expanding my sky city. I have about 25 houses right now in the sky on my sky tower. No creature will ever get me.
I played minecraft at my friend's house the first time, and I think he just wanted to scare me.
I made a cozy little hollowed-out hill by nightfall with all the essentials, and then started hearing spider sounds. My friend told me to craft a wooden sword and go fight it. I almost died, and was brought down to 1/2 heart by a creeper (who also broke my wall). I had to go kill pigs at midnight to survive.
It was not enjoyable.

On my first night, I lived like a minecraft pro. I had already watched some of x's videos, so I had the whole gist of the first night. The first night was a bit stressful, because I ran out of wood and had to sit in the cave for a bit, waiting for the night to pass.

Why do we need other people to have sex? I'm quite content with my farm animals, thank you.

"I sat valiantly upon my trusty pig. Sword in hand, I strongly fought the skeletons, zombies, creepers, and spiders. Wave after wave they came, swarming me and my pig. But we fought, and fought. I charged their front line forces, wiping out the lot of them. As the remaining mobs ran in fear, my pig reared and oinked in victory, as the sun rose. The zombies and skeletons too slow were burned to death, and the spiders became dormant, and the creepers retreated back to Fort Asplosion."
I just went around punching random crap and then at night when I saw stuff and i was like "OH S***" then I threw all my stuff into that spider to see if i damaged it

I didn't even know monsters existed. I just wandered around and found a cave. I dug into a patch of coal and made some torches. Then I saw an antechamber in the cave. I went in, hearing a strange clicking noise. Then I started getting shot a lot. I had discovered skeletons. I ran back and walled up the area and both enterances to the cave. Once I got some doors set up and made an iron sword, I ran into the antechamber and killed all the skeletons. I found some green cobblestone with a weird cage burning in the middle. By now, I had placed torches to get a better look.
I don't do that anymore.

I built my shack on a nearby beach, and because I didn't know about doors yet, I was stuck with an open hole.
I was waiting at my glassless window when a spider came up to it, scared me to death, and ran off.
The worst part was when a skeleton came in and just stayed there, my shack was too dark for it to burn in the sunlight, so I beat it with my fists.
Then I met my first creeper.
then i found out... its the ones you CANT see that get you.
