Not trying to start a YES-NO discussion, but I think it's edited in, because it didn't form cobblestone which it should.
Besides, I think lavafalls never form this huge by default. At least not to bedrock.
It IS cool to see, however.
I can assure you it isn't. But the reason it is so bizarre is the fact that this whole area I am in is one ~500x500 chunk error. There are very bizarre things here.
I once found a giant natural lava fall, with a zombie spawner a few block far from the source.
All natural only added dirt at bottom in order not to die.

Mind posting some pictures of theese chunk errors? :biggrin.gif:
I have seen lava behave like this. I have never seen it do that far before cobbling though.
I am more interested in the huge underground lake...that is cool.

Lava falling into water destroys the water without forming cobblestone except at the base of the flow, so this is entirely possible.
Try it yourselves.

I have one like that though mines shorter. I think it's a chunk error of some kind

But the flow of the water should make it cobble, right?
Should. That's the good word.
Had that happen several times, albeit not on THAT scale. You can create it without a problem too (Without any 3rd party programs too)
Shouldn't those underwater sand blocks fall already? You removed some cobble around it...
Well at least we now know he used SOME program.
It still doesn't prove it's not a chunk error, but I still stick to my own opinion.:Pig:
But yeah, I understand this is possible without editing.

No. Falling lava never turns into cobble, only lava that's spreading out. I've seen this happen myself at least once, and this fact completely sunk my attempt at self-healing walls.

No, what makes cobble is flowing lava, not water. It has to flow out to the side to make cobble, hence why it only makes it at the bottom of the lava fall.
If the last unit of a column of lava functioned as "flowing", then you'd be able to build huge cobble stone columns very easily.
Imagine going up to the world ceiling and, using a infinite water source, create a waterfall that is a cylinder 13 units in diamter. wouldnt take very long at all. then you drop a lava fall right in the middle. It would take a while, but you'd have a HUGE tower of cobble.
Perhaps someone can make a mod that does this? :biggrin.gif:

I used MineEdit to repair my sword, shovel, pick, and axe to -9999 damage. For some reason I added 37 swords on accident. My inventory is modded! But that is for building, not modifying the landscape.
This lavafall somehow exists in this underground massive lake. All the way down to adminium.

Of course not!

Can you upload the save?
Or the fact he has 37 dirt also? :ohmy.gif:
