I am absolutely willing to get behind this as long as it yields NO drops. Animals in Minecart paths are extremely annoying, but creature drops would add a whole new level of mob farming into the game in which a player could create a cheap and easy mob farm that would be fairly efficient, consume NO resources after production, and work even without intervention on the player's part.
Agreed entirely. Seeing as boats don't seem as deadly to get hit by (though damaging), perhaps have them do 85% of the damage that it would do if said boat were a minecart?
I disagree; the boats are rather slow, and they are only made of wood compared to steel. And from a gameplay standpoint, a rider can easily maneuver around a person in water, but not in a Minecart. If any damage should be dealt by boats, I think it should be very little.
I'd fully support this but I don't like taking 7 heart damage on a roller coaster. I think 5 would be plenty, remember it still needs to be fun in survival as well as creative. I don't want to constantly be eating food while running mobs over on a roller coaster that is s'posed to be scary with mobs on it. I dunno know about you, but I'm not a pig and taking 7 hearts on a coaster going full speed all the way hitting excessive mobs(hard difficulty), you'd end up eating yourself out of house and supply. Just a suggestion. As really, again, I don't feel like eating 100 porkchops to regain my health after every hit.
Maybe 5 hearts and reduces your cart speed about a little bit instead, other than that, I fully support this. I'm tired of mobs getting in the way, even peaceful ones.
The damage that I mention is the damage of things that get in your way, and the damage if it was to hit you in the head.
You as the rider take no damage.
