This idea is great as a concept, but Minecraft does a good enough job with the scare-tactic as it is, with the random cave sounds and stuff. For me, it's already bad enough. I recorded a video - not realizing I was on Peaceful the entire time - and kept panicking because I thought I was hearing skeletons and zombies.
Again, a great conceptual idea, but its just not something that needs to be added to vanilla Minecraft.

I'm beginning to think im incapable of fear honestly. This sounds like my everyday, not really all that new. You really just described the mind of a schizophrenic / suicidal person. /not signed.
This reminds me SO much of: Amnesia - Dark Descent...
As an optional thing, I think this could have potential, for people who would like to add another "dimension" (he he, funny...) to their game. :smile.gif:
Though the repetiveness is kind of a deal killer - otherwise thousands of different recordings of different phrases, would be needed, and THAT, might be too time consuming.. :/
I 'like' the idea. Though voices and stuff seems alittle... out there.
I'd much more like to hear things like water dripping, maybe echos from your actions, maybe if it's a large gaping chasm it could make a hollowing sound like a deep wind rising up.
This may also be scenario specific, such as when there's water nearby you can't hear the water rushing, but rather drips if water leaking through the rock, maybe a trickling sound through dirt and gravel. With chasms again, the deep rushing wind could give you alittle warning if you're about to fall to your doom.
Nice concept, but I don't like the distinct voices idea. Indistinct murmurings or whisperings, footsteps, far-off sounding hostile mob SFX, and the like might make more sense, and should probably happen infrequently when in total darkness underground. Visual hallucinations might be hard to pull off, maybe an imagined mob face (zoomed in, faded, and possibly a wavy effect) might show if you stare out into darkness too long, but they would have to be subtle and not defined enough to obstruct your view. Again, this should probably only happen underground, the open space and light from the moon would probably help Steve's nerves, unless maybe you're under a thick canopy of trees. Then again, maybe anything other than the SFX might get too scary for some...
