Hello and welcome to my suggestion on adding dragons into minecraft. Notch once tweeted about this, and ever since, people have been going crazy for the idea. I think that dragons should be added into vanilla minecraft. I think it would enhance the gameplay a LOT! Here's some info I decided to make about how I think they should be created. Feel free to share your thoughts, whether they're good or bad.
I think that dragons should have the same model as the enderdragon, maybe smaller. They should have a red-like color texture with maybe an orange underside. The eyes would be a red color. [Basically, it's similar to the enderdragon, except the black coloring of the enderdragon would be replaced with red, and the purple replaced wih orange/yellow]. They would be an EXTREMELY rare spawn in the Extreme Hills biome. [About the same rarity of a spider jockey, maybe a bit more...]. They could either be killed, dropping a red dragon egg, or be tamed and ridden using a saddle. To tame them you could use diamonds, gold , emeralds, raw/cooked beef, raw/cooked chicken, or raw/cooked porkchops. The level of difficulty to take them is as follows, from the easiest way to the most difficult way: Gold, Emeralds, Diamonds, Cooked Beef/Cooked Porkchop, Cooked Chicken, Raw Chicken. [Using this " formula" for the difficulty to take the dragons, gold would have a good use]. The way to fly the tamed dragons would be to right-click it with an empty hand. Even though the dragon is tamed, it will act like an untamed horse until the hearts appear. Once that happens, right-click it and the menu for a saddle should come up, like for a donkey. [Notice how I said "donkey", and not horse, since horses get armor. I doubt they will add dragon armor soon]. You can then equip a saddle and ride it. It goes at a decent speed at land [A speed I, non-sprit jumping speed]and a little bit faster than creative-flying at air-travel. The best way I can describe the controls would be riding a horse, but instead of jumping when you press the spacebar, it would fly.
Feel free to leave any suggestions. I would love to see dragons added into minecraft along with a handful of other minecraft players! If Mojang doesn't see this, oh well! If they do, however, I hope they will at least consider the idea.
Oversuggested, and having the same model as the enderdragon would make them a pathetic recolor that doesn't deserve to exist.
Meh. If its oversuggested, then Mojang should announce if they're gonna do it or not. Besides, this was just an idea. I just think it would be cool risig a dragon then ramming onto your friend's doorstep saying "'Sup". If not this, then I want throwable slimeballs that make slime-splotches on blocks you throw it on.

Yeah, that would be cool but the dragons should each have their own models.
Also, throw able slimeballs would be pretty cool, already made a topic on slimeballs making splotches of Slimey stuff when used on blocks which can be viewed here:http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1883803-more-slime-stuff/ (I'm not trying to advertise this thread, just saying that the idea has been suggested).
Very Redundant. Please use the search bar before creating topics. And when he says Its oversuggested, it means that it has a lot of posts on the forum. Mojang sadly, does not look at the forum,, except the Support Sections.
