Ever wondered why there are random fires in the nether? Well, here's why.
Fiery Conflagrations now spawn in lava lakes, "Conflagrations" for short. These mobs don't attack, don't follow you, don't even obey gravity, but instead act like a floating fireball of blazing fire. Conflagrations go at high velocities, 5 blocks per second.
Conflagrations, rather than instantly spinning around like normal mobs, slowly turn at periodically oscillating directions. They veer away from walls, but when trapped, they crash into a wall and explode into a crater worthy of a creeper.
Conflagrations have a center and rapidly orbiting cubes of fire, like an atom with electrons flying around it (sorry physicists if there's anything wrong with that analogy) (I don't think that electrons even orbit) (but popular culture says so), and fire particles spawn rapidly around them, slowly receding the farther away they are. The fire particles have a certain amount of velocity calculated to bring it to the center at the moment of disappearance, so they leave a telltale tail of fire.
Conflagrations don't do melee or ranged damage, but light EVERYTHING on fire. Blocks, mobs, falling blocks, everything will be engulfed in its blazes. The fire is timed to last for only 2.5 seconds, but stumbling away through the path of destruction it leaves can sustain the fire until you leave its vicinity. Even experienced players need fire protection and fire resist pots now!
The only way to defend yourself from such a monstrosity would be to hide behind a wall or erect one. There's a chance that it will crash into a quickly constructed obstacle, but diverting its path or getting OUT of its path quickly enough would save you from being roasted.
These Conflagrations are intended to make lava lakes more dangerous and bridging across such lakes to get to places even more dangerous (did I mention they push you?). It would also give players something to escape from instead of smashing with a fully enchanted diamond sword - even good armor will put put you on the verge of death in suspended or enclosed areas.
Rather than letting the world be conquered by a strong fist and a sharp sword, these will give even the best fighters and the mightiest conquerors something to fear. Even though it certainly won't kill you, it'll show you that nobody can truly conquer the lands of the Nether.

Why Minecraft mobs should NEVER have multiple attacks:
- No other PC mobs do. - Mob behaviour is intended to be simple.
Why you should NOT name new "special ability" weapons as "XXX Swords":
- No other swords have special abilities. - Make a new kind of weapon.
Its a little bit confusing in the beginning because sounds kinda like a mob, kinda not. In matter of the aspect sounds a little bit like a blaze without melee nor ranged. The only way to defend yourself could be using a fire potion, which is fair enough tho but sounds a little bit edgy... I like the idea of making lava lakes in the nether more dangerous because you can just make a path 1 block over lava level or just at the same level of the lava and you can be pretty safe. I would say and i want to suggest that conflagrations drop blaze powder in quantities of 0-2 because of they fire-ly aspect.
Half support.
Edit: Im going to try to make a picture for you. Im trying and im failing to do something "convincing" so ill try later, maybe with some more inspiration.

They're actually more like entities, but some people might not understand the term. So I compared them to flying mobs. I also like the idea of adding blaze powder drops, but they're unkillable unless they smash into a block.
I like them, if you tweak their destructive forces. The fire is great, but please make their explosions as powerfull as those of Ghasts. Otherwise, building structures in the Nether will become pretty difficult.. Support,
Well, I made it so that they attempt to veer away from walls and don't intentionally target you, so under normal conditions it'll just go away if you go in your house. But good point. I might change that.

I don't have anything to put here .-.
Give evidence to why you don't support.Saying "no pictures" is not a reason, and you should only say that too mods without pictures.
I like the suggestion, and think it be a nice touch.
Half support.
