As 1.7 came out with some great new biomes, people are really starting to accept new biomes for Minecraft. Here are my suggestions of what other biomes could be added.
Iceberg Islands
Found only in the coldest oceans, it takes the strongest adventurer to survive on these isles.
Fertile Riverbank
A perfect place for farming, these riverbanks have lots of clay and damp soil lining them.
Dry Riverbank
After hundreds of years, these rivers have dried up and turned into an empty wasteland. Trees and animals struggle to survive this barren landscape.
Extreme Forest
A mighty forest, it is filled with tall grass, ferns and trees. The rivers have muddy podzil banks and lily pads, perfect for fishermen.
Bamboo Forest
Tall bamboo trees stretch from the ground into the sky, casting a shadow on the grass and ferns below.
(Note: Removed Dwarven Forest)
These biomes would help introduce new animals and mobs to Minecraft, such as Pandas (Bamboo forest), Bears (Extreme forest) and Seals or Polar Bears (Iceberg Islands).
Thanks for reading, leave a comment and tell me what you think.
I like most of them, but the probablity of seeing new biomes appear in the near future is about zero percent, considering Mojang put every terrain change into the 1.7 update
Did they? I don't remember seeing that 1.7 was the last terrain update. I think there is still a chance of new biomes, but it may be slim.
Except the Dwarven Forest. It seems very out of place to have that.
And the Bamboo Forest. We need more elaboration and details about the Bamboo Forest since it's a completely new thing compared to the rest being just simpler landscape changes.

Don't argue with idiots. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I've thought a lot about the bamboo forest. It would spawn near jungles, and the bamboo would work a little different than wood. Since the bamboo in that photo is actually a retextured fence, it doesn't make much sense to give the same amount of planks as a log would, does it? (As logs are larger) Bamboo would give you two bamboo planks instead of the usual four, and it would be a greenish colour of wood, something we don't have yet. Other than that, it could pave the way for pandas, and add in a part of the world that Minecraft doesn't have yet.
Anyway, I'm open to any suggestions you have for the Bamboo Forest.
Well, Pandas are not very aggressive creatures in real life, and should only attack you if you attack them first. As for other types of bears, I don't think they should TRY to attack you, they should have a type of system where they attack you if you disturb them. (Example: running around a bear would make them aggressive until you were say, 15 blocks away.)
Hey, since Dinnerbone wants pandas, he could implement the pandas and the bamboos to complement each other.
Yay. If pandas were added, bamboo or bamboo sticks could be used to lure them or to feed them. (Or tame them, if Mojang decides on making pandas pets.)

Or mounts? maybe with a unique quality over horses?

Oh jeez that would be hilarious. Riding a panda into battle shooting zombies and creepers with your bow. XD
However, we already have two rideable animals, and if you were able to ride pandas, they may as well remove saddles from pigs, and I don't think the Oink Fanbase would be very happy with that.

Thanks!
Thanks! Yes, we have a lot of biomes, but I like exploring.

And yes, I am still the Master of Disaster.

I may remove dwarves forests and replace them with something new, they aren't that popular.
Other than that, every other biomes looks nice and cool, especially the bamboo forest.
I like to play games, I like to laugh maniacally when playing games.
Thank you!
