Hello, so this is going to be a short suggestion with Enchantments
My Idea: take a sword that has 1 enchantment on it( I don't have an idea for having more than 1 enchantment yet) and that enchantment you don't want anymore, but you dont want to totally waste the sword and make a new one... So why not have it so place the sword with the enchant in the anvil, and a plain book to keep the enchantment but, takes 1-5 levels of xp to store it back as a book form and boom enchanted book, unenchanted sword(or anything else)
EX: Anvil:Smite IV Pick -> Book = Smite IV Enchanted Book(costing for example..3 1/2 exp)
Basically you are stating that say you get an enchantment on your sword that you don't want, you can remove it at the cost of a book and experience (perhaps 5-10 levels might be more adequate, depending on the number of enchantments removed I suppose). This way you are able to keep a sword/tool without having to replace the materials to make a new one.
For instance, say you have a diamond sword, and you get a Bane of Arthropods enchantment, you can sacrifice some experience to remove this undesirable enchantment, and later re-enchant it. This allows one to re-use a sword, instead of having to waste two more diamonds to attempt to get a more desirable enchant.

Exactly I'm thing of maybe a selection menu of the enchants you have on, but.. you can only do 1 at a time idk , just some ideas getting tossed around
The idea of removing enchantments is already planned to be implemented (https://twitter.com/Dinnerbone/status/392766846648451072), though I would suggest it doesn't cost exp, but costs one book with the same enchantment (or higher tier) you want to remove.

ohh, alright it just popped into my head, glad to hear it will be implemented, thanks
