Currently, horses are pretty awkward to ride in multiplayer. If you try to move with the controls, you have to wait half a second before the horse moves. Because of this delay, horse-riding is often difficult. The developers should consider making horse riding more like regular movement; the problem with current horse movement is that it when you press the keys on your computer, it sends your controls to the server, the server moves your character, and then it updates your coords and you see yourself move. This is not a fun way for riding horses. With regular movement, you can walk around freely without a ping, and the coordinates of your character are updated once you ping to your server. That is also how horse movement should work. If I am wrong about any of this, just let me know.
