Hello, this is my first post on the Minecraft Forums, and while I did read the stickied posts in this category, I may have missed something. Therefore, if I did anything wrong, please tell me so I don't do it again in the future. Alright, now down to buisness...
Wire Blocks:
• Texture is a mesh of iron on all sides, you can see through it.
• Transparent block.
• Blast resistance is that of end stone (or something about there).
• Mined with a wood pickaxe.
• Crafted with 8 iron ingots in the shape of a chest, yields 16 blocks.
Now, this block is not meant to be aesthetically useful in any way, and while it may be useful in some ways to make buildings look nice, it has a special property... Liquids and projectiles will pass through it, like it is just an air block. This is very interesting as while mobs and other entities cannot. I think this could be useful to make sewers easier to make, archer windows in castles, and a handful of other applications.
Possibly there could be a wooden version that is the same thing except for the texture, so that it can fit with other building styles.
Slime Blocks:
• Texture is the color of a slime, although less monochrome and it has a little border thing.
• Not transparent.
• Blast resistance is that of wood (or something about there).
• Mined by hand.
• Crafting with 4 slimeballs in a 2x2 space, yields somewhere between 1-4 blocks (I can't seem to decide this, can you guys help me with that please?).
One of the main purposes of this block is to make another use for slimeballs, as sticky pistons are used mostly in creative (I believe) and leads only need one to make two. Again, like the wire block, it does have special properties that give it a use beyond aesthetics... Any mob that jumps while standing on top of one will have its jump height quadrupled. A bounce pad of sorts, if you will. And this does stack with jump boost. I would think this would be lots of fun to play with, and a quick way to get up ledges. Negates all fall damage when landed on. This is a much better choice than water because you don't have to swim back up. And it makes sense.
That's what I've got. Give me some feedback, I'd like to know if these are good ideas!
