The only thing that remotely bothers me about the splashes is that I've seen pretty much all of them. So really, the only thing that I'd like to see is more splashes.
I cant quite understand your suggestion thread to be honest, and how its related to this topic.
Unless you want to messages on start screen be important for Game/Game forums which would be cool.
I didn't tell you to visit it, I told you to check it :D. I love splash screens and don't know why you're making them equivalent to having your arm ripped off being beaten with it. Turn your melodrama off.

The splashes are part of the flavor of Minecraft and if you are THAT distracted by a tiny little line of text.. you probably have bigger issues requiring medication and or supervision in public.
Splashies are cool. I still occasionally see one I haven't seen, or at least noticed, before.

If they bother you that much, they're in a file called splashes.text down in the depths of minecraft.jar. Replace them with whatever you want to see, or just a blank space, and your problem is solved, while the rest of us can continue to enjoy the little bits of Mojang humor. You're the one having a problem, and the tools to solve the problem are in your hands. It's not fair for you to demand that something be taken away from other people who enjoy it because you don't feel like using those tools.
I want to suggest that Mojang get RID OFF messages on starting page as:
Very Fun! (yes we know)
Peter Griffin! (we like that too, ok)
You can only see this text on 1920x1080 who gives a F resolution. (ok i can see, so..)
Sexy! (as you say)

I mean I understand that Mojang people are happy for making such a great game.
But please stop with messages that no one really cares about, they make me want to vomit. More or less.

This is absolutely the most pointless thing to even have an opinion about. There is no reason at all something like this would give you a headache. If you can't handle a couple of words on a splash screen that have no bearing on how the game plays, you should really be seeing a shrink and spending less time playing video games.
Well, I don't understand the splashes either, but I think they're funny. Also, you should consider changing the title. You put in the wrong face for the topic.
