When a mob's health is 30% or below, you should be able to tie it up to a fence with a lead and begin chopping off its head using an axe. The higher tiers can chop heads the fastest.
However, you cannot do this with wither skeletons nor bosses.
No, there won't be gore or blood here. Just chop off the head and the mob will die. The mob will disappear but the head will be dropped for you to keep.
they are bits of code and logical functions, not living animals, the bad part is because people do have feelings, and this is a sickening thing to see, even in a game.
This is completely unneeded and you're also not considering the fact that an addition such as this would most likely require a change in the ersb rating. That would likely cause problems with parents who already bought the game for their children.
Also, it being normal to you is not a valid argument.
Even without blood this is a very graphic suggestion. The ability to collect mob heads is much different than the ability to visibly lob off their head with an axe execution style. I'm in support of mob heads being a very rare drop but not this.
You remind me of Space, but a lot more violent.
Please have a spurt of "holy crap!" and post something that's feasible for Minecraft.
But to keep the mods happier, no. Decapitation will not be put into vanilla Minecraft. This is a family game.
You should go try Dark Souls, GTA...or just go read "Cupcakes."
I don't think that this is that disgusting, albeit you shouldn't have to tie the mobs to a fence.
I mean, we can rip the flesh off of dead humans and feed it to a wolf that rips apart more dead humans, so I don't think this is that disgusting.
I think it is best to leave the mechanism for "acquiring" heads to be as vague as possible so we don't wander into questions of virtual brutality.
Having the head item as a random drop from some mobs is one thing. The current battle model is abstract enough to not be too objectionable... but having an identifiable act (restraining the mob up and deliberately going at it with an axe) that directly results in chopping off the head is a lot more insidious.
Wouldn't fit in the game... Please man, no decapitations...
Even that i would be pleased to hang headless pigs like in Amnesia... Well, it doesn't fits in vanilla
So many carebears over there..
HUUUUUUH "DECAPITATIONS" HUUUH.. Stick with it, es. Being exploded, teared down and killed by spiders have no problem, but having a head to fall off is? jesus christ.
one more time THERE ARE LITTLE KIDS PLAYING IT I DON"T CARE ABOUT THE DECAPITATIONS BUT THERE ARE KIDS PLAYING IT!! AND YOU THINK THAT CREEPER EXPLOSION IS DISGUSTING?
Video with a creeper exploding:
OR BEING KILLED BY A CUBIC SPIDER?
I know an interesting story about a rooster that was decapitated. Since his wounds were treated well, he didn't bleed out. The story ends with the (headless) rooster dying of old age, 15 months after decapitation.
Mike the headless chicken? When he was decapitated, the farmer who did it actually missed part of the brain stem, allowing the chicken to retain basic functions. They fed him using an eyedropper. Mike died because they forgot the eyedropper someplace, so he starved.
Anyway, this just seems a little wrong to add in this kind of game. We shouldn't go into the nitty-gritty of slaughter and just leave it at beating an animal senseless, watching them vanish, and have meat pop out.

But...chopping off the head is the least you can do to a suffering animal.
I find it normal.
No support.
Instead of randomly bashing it with a sword until it dies in agony.

Support this if you're interested in reducing lag whilst simultaneously expanding the game.

They can I thought for like 6 minutes or something.

This is a bit disturbing suggestion when little kids play it.

Depends on the drop. Rotten flesh from zombies, sure but spider eyes from spiders, no. The eyes are part of the head, that's why.
No support.
OR BEING DECAPITATED BY A CUBIC AXE?
Yes I do.
